Spyderco has been like magic to me since I was a kid. My uncle in the navy would visit like once a year and he’d bring new pistols with Tritium sights and knives and just cool shit a kid would “ooouu and ahhh” at. One day though he handed me a baby blue Endura and from that point on.. they’ve been my gold standard ever since. I adore the Endura line.. I’m to nervous to branch out more than that cause I only like knives that are 3.5”+ blades. I don’t see the point of under 3” like most of the popular ones are.

I added my comments on Spyderco for the Endura I carry, yet I also own the Native III: I've been carrying the Endura for quite a number of years now. A friend of mine told me of the Spyderco knife brand as I had always been a "Case". The Endura is my daily carry, but I do switch to the Spyderco Native III for church carry. My Case knives have been retired to a Pelican case now and the Spyderco's have replaced them as my working knives now. Especially the Endura which is used for everything for even cleaning small fish, gutting rabbits, squirrel and cutting boxes when needed. Always keeping a sharp edge...but I do sharpen and care for them. Oh...oh...an...an, even have it just in case I need to protect my self in case of a zombie attack!!! Mark S McKinney

I've been a Spyderco knives fan since it got my 1st Delica Clipit years ago. I have several models over the years and last week I added 2 more Para 2 and Para 3. I think I've found my new favorite work horse in the Para. That knife feels great in my hand and carries comfortably tip up or down as well as right or left handed. The CPM S30V holds an impressive edge and makes easy work of my daily needs. The one handed operation is great due to the compression lock, smooth action and classic Spyderco thumb hole. Since the Para 2 and Para 3 arrived, all my other knives have taken a back seat. Can't decide which Para to get? Do as I do and get both!

For about the last three years almost every single BladeHQ Spyderco exclusive was made with either that ugly natural or jade G10 which are the absolute most inexpensive materials you could use to make handle scales and these knives were just different variations of the same knife!!! Spydercos are the best! My first Spiderco was given to me by a friend as a going away gift when I was going on an extended sailing trip in the Caribbean in 1989. The Spiderco was ideal for sailing. It cut through ropes, sails, and webbing like it wasn’t even there! I carried it throughout the trip and for a couple of years after I got back to Denver. There were a few times where I curated open in my head close to my body it’s a pretty scary places. Thank God they never had to use it for self-defense! Somehow I managed to lose it, and I immediately replaced it with another just like it. It looked a lot like your current Delica 4, but with a little less sculptured handle, as I recall. When I lost the second one after a few years, I bought a third similar knife, but with a plastic handle. Eventually, I decided I didn’t need to carry a knife like that, and gave it to my youngest son. I imagine it will last him a lifetime if he keeps better track of it then I did with mine! If I need a knife of that quality today, I know exactly where I would go and what I would do. Spyderco forever!

I know a saber grind is a curved grind that can lead to a narrower final edge angle, while having more prying strength against the tip breaking, but a full-flat-grind smoothly/flatly makes an angle from spine to blade edge, so that there’s less drag when cutting through materials, the tip can be finer, and generally (especially Spydercos) the blade stock is thinner and usually also have a narrow edge profile. I have a Saber Grind ladybug and FFG Dragonfly, both VG-10. I find FFG’s slice better and haven’t given me any issues with strength, but I’d be interested to hear why you (torch_ss) find the Saber grind to be the best ever?
