Double boiling the gum base was where you went wrong. First guess would be you cooked the gum base and that's where you get the bbq flavor. In hindsight, use ribs flavoring to further enhance gum flavor for that cool backyard experience.

Its a pretty great feeling when you can pause the video before he reveals what the ingredients do and pick out their function, when hes talking about sweetners im like, oh, its got to be that, that and that and i was right, not bragging, just saying, Ive legit learned so much from this series already.

Hey, I was making a sugar free gum by using a mixture of pine resin and beeswax as a base instead of plastic. I've had success in recreating the gum base, but I've been unable to add a sugary component without it turning into a mess. If anyone has any ideas, id appreciate it. Gum base formula: Beeswax 1g Pine resin 3g Soy lecithin powder (tiny bit) Sugar replacements available to me: Glycerol Xylitol Stevia (its apparently a 1-1 replacement with normal sugar so i'm not sure how to use it)
