@@mpleading2588 it’s has very clear video and I had Vantrue don’t remember what Model was bad u1000 it’s way better trust me and if you don’t like it you can return it I know it’s pricy but it’s much better than getting cheaper one and dies after 5 months or a year with bad image that if you are parked and hit and run will not shows any info totally wasted your money but got u1000 one of the best so far you can return it if you don’t like it I drive big truck and I got one for my big rig and one for my car with 2ch and no regret for money 💰

I’ve got a U 1000 on the way, and we’ll be hardwiring it. If in the future I decided to get the OBD option (the one that allows access to the OBD port after instal) well it also give me any extra options on the phone screen showing water temp, oil, or anything else. I’ve been researching dash cams for SOOOOOO long I can’t find where @ least one brand mentions these features. Thanks in advance for any input.

In motion detection how it records the video before the impact...? Hw it knows tht there ll be an event in ten seconds?

I am trying to do the research before I invest in one of these! I can see getting the battery and have it installed. The problem is from the battery to the camera all the install kit I can find have battery drain protection which makes no sense for doing this type of installation! (What’s the work around? Or do you have any idea? As I assume that’s why you use the cigarette lighter adapter. I have the van true E3 (any help would be appreciated )

Is there a feature that will make the dashcam alert you if there's been a recorded incident when you start your car up after being in parking mode? I don't check my dashcam footage unless I know there's been an incident. So if it could say there's been a recorded incident when the car is started again, that would be great.

70mai does that. If they have filmed something(i dont use timelapse, thoit has that mode) it says you habe new video, and its stored in separate folder where its not being over written

Well, my friend's Parked Car was scratched up two nights ago without any footage on U1000 with Radar. He was expecting at least the capture of this incident since the criminal would have walked up that Car and not a Ghost. WHY?

Yes, it does! Both cameras record in sync, everything captured by the Front Cam, will be captured by the Rear at the same time.

Why is my parking mode shutting off after 5 minutes ? This started afew months ago. Never happened before. I’m using the OB2 cable since day one. Q800 pro dash cam is what I have. Had it for about 4 years now

A front radar module only protects you in the front. It appears it leaves you unprotected in the rear.

After you turn off the engine, turn the key to the "on" position, just don't start the car.

@@AIRfree I know, we are very unfortunate. We go by reviews until we actually have it in our hands. That would be one the best feature but it just doesn’t work. I got me a hotspot but won’t stay connected after one minute.

Had one, my car was hit and the camera only recorded 1 second of video. Contacted support and was told " SD card might be bad". Replaced SD card, proceeded to test by hitting the windshield and out of 10 tests, it only recorded the full 10 seconds 4 times. Do not waste your money on this camera, go buy a more reputable one such as Garmin.
