Everything he's come up with is bullshit. He's just a masonic poster boy like Neil DeGrasse Tyson. And if he has ALS then I'm superman. The guy says his love for science has kept him alive. That's insulting to all those who have died or lost someone to this disease. Astronomy is all bullshit. Flat Earth for the win.

what surprised me most is that there are so many needlessly hateful people over stephen fucking hawking... a paralysed man who has done so much good in his life.

You know, believing in aliens isn't something that should be surprising. There's a quasi-infinite supply of stars and planets, you really don't think that ONE other planet doesn't support life? I mean come on, the likely hood that there isn't aliens is extremely low.
@Yarsig
@Yarsig 7 жыл бұрын
CSPG 306T Space travel is irrelevant to the belief in aliens or religion. Wether we were ever in space or not, I'd still be an atheist. Wether we were in space or not, I'd still believe the possibility of alien life is highly likely.

" The world's smartest man" any physics or math major can tell you that this simply isn't the case, the only reason why people consider him to be the smartest man on earth is because of how famous he is...ask the average person to name at least 10 physicist and they'll only probably know of Einstein ( a true genius), Stephen Hawking, and Neil Degrass Tyson. I'm not saying that the man isn't smart, he is definitely a lot smarter than me but to say that he is the smartest man on earth is simply ridiculous and detrimental to real geniuses such as Grigori Perelman, Edward Witten and Steven Weinberg.

@waaey4925
@waaey4925 6 жыл бұрын
Carlo Pecora Yeah, the case is similar in England; if you ask people to name every single physicist they know of, they will generally just say Albert Einstein, Sir Isaac Newton, Professor Stephen Hawking and Brian Cox, as well as in some cases Neil Degrass Tyson. Sad really just how many marvellous physicists go seemingly unnoticed among the general public.

--I'm only saying that being an expert in one discipline does not make him a worthy spokesman in any other. --Valid to challenge ANYONE who makes claims on the basis of their argument support and related credentials. Case in point Hawking on these other topics. -- & as to your claim "so called experts in these fields are full of shit and generally wrong" Do you mean to suggest that we seek those who claim least credentials, say gas station attendants, or do we just scrutinize the claims, supporting arguments, and training constantly, diligently.
@TheDelime
@TheDelime 7 жыл бұрын
you are correct that being an expert in one discipline does not make anyone an expert in others. What I believe myself is that you need to listen what other people say and use that info to make your own decision. Don't take someones decision as your own just because they have a degree on something.
@AtheistCitizen

A degree helps to put a researcher in to contact with best methods, and previous discoveries, but it is the body of the argument and its support that matters.

Yes you think I can't handle huge distances and sizes but fact simply is their fantasy universe cannot handle it and even this black hole nonsense doesn't help to explain away the parallax issue.
