I was inserted mirena march 15th 2024 ... Later after 1 month I got my periods and though it was not heavy but it did not stop even after 7 days... So doctor advice to take hormonal tablets for 1month ... Now do I need to take this tablets next month if it doesn't stop... Kindly advice please

Mam, in case of endometrial hyperplasia, if we are inserting mirena, are we supposed to give hormonal tablets for 1st 3 months in a continuous manner or cyclical way?

Mam my doc says I need general anaesthesia for iud insertion as I hv c sec .. so I will not able to bear d pain is it true .. as m afraid of being unconscious.. plZ reply

No it's a opd procedure no anaesthesia required. Only if ur cervix is not reachable den v hv to relax u. V can do under local anesthesia wer u l not be unconscious .

I am 49. Ihave inserted Merina in last july, first 3 months I was ok, on hormonal contraceptive support also. Monthly bleeding was there , but heavy. Later One month no cycle. Then in December I got periods as well as spotting also. I got cyst in ovary. Now cyst is not there, endometrium thickness is less, but bleeding is there...not heavy.. but spotting. No pain . Not getting tired even after 4-5 km walking. Please guide me
