Thanks Ed. It's always interesting to see what other (More successful) athletes are doing in detail. Being Self coached, it's nice to pick up tips and those little nuggets of training wisdom

Itd be amazing if you could do one of these for every block for a season. Also i cant comprehend how you can ride for hours and hours in the british winter without full mudguards. Dont you get bored of being drenched? Lol
@edlaverack19 күн бұрын
I had a rear mudguard here, front mudguard not really needed with Spatz overshoes. It's hard doing big mileage in the British winter. I'll do more update videos in a month or so.

I always love your insight, and I enjoyed the off the peg training plan i bought from Backpedal I crushed the goal I set coming off of it. I would love to hear your thoughs on what is the minimum weekly volume where focusing on zone 2 makes sence for an endurace rider and long dostance triathlete❤

Great video, love this sort of stuff. Would be interested to see what your TP Dashboard looks like and also where did you get the MeanMax power info screen from?
@edlaverack14 күн бұрын
That screen is taken from WKO

What’s your take on Z1 rides or rest days?
@edlaverack14 күн бұрын
Z1 days as in recovery days? If you feel better after doing them then why not :)

how to display these graphs that you show on 6:00?

That is a custom chart in WKO

How do you deal with falling ill while trying to build up the indurance?
@edlaverack19 күн бұрын
Depends on the symptoms. If it's just a cold, I will still ride, depending on how rough I feel. If it's a cough/fever/sickness I won't ride again until I'm 100%. Missing training is hard though, especially long periods, and this can really set training back.

Hey Ed, great vid! I've been thinking, if I ride 8-10hrs a week on average (for about 3 years), would a week of big volume say 20 hrs make a difference to my physiology? Thanks!
@edlaverack19 күн бұрын
Simple answer, yes. Most of the people I work with can only train around 10hours, but whenever they go away on a cycling holiday or have time off work it's an ideal time to add volume.
