I found out that when people say “meal prepping is hard, and taste bad” Is because they do it half ass or don’t add seasoning, They try to meal prep every 2-3 days , (that’s not meal prepping ) that’s eating left overs, and cooking every 3 days , I grill about 4-6 packets of thicken thighs and breasts on a Sunday , start the propane and grill at 11am and grill till 5pm and in those 6 hours I grill about 20 pounds of chicken and another 6 pounds of steak, wait for it to cool down and put it in the freezer, and in the morning I wake up at 5am to pack my lunches, I let them thaw out in lunch box and I eat them either room temperature or heat it up in the microwave, by 9am or 11 it’s fully defrosted , been doing that for 3 years never gotten sick , I do that with the salmon 🍣 too or pork chops, rice I never froze, just make a big ass pot of Jasmin white rice and it still tastes good for 6-7 days in the fridge, and in the fridge I keep a big bowl of green Mexican salsa that my girl makes, and pico de gallo, so that stays good for 5-6 days , so we only gotta grill/cook every 16-19 days, and once a week make rice and pico de gallo, being Mexican we make 7 different things with chicken, Fajita chicken Mole Green chicken / Tinga Floutas, Carne con chile verde Carne con pappas, And you won’t get tired of eating plain old chicken/boiled/ and rice, Just let the chicken season with lemon pepper or mojo and your good to go

Eating healthy is a skill. That is truth. Until you know, it is not your choice. I don't think anyone would choose to be fat, unless depressed or tired of the attention from men but even fat doesn't stop that - it just slows it.

It's the same thing they say. When you're recovering from any trauma, it's definitely 100%. Not your fault, but it is 100% your responsibility. It's a hard thing to hear. But when you actually think about it, it can be very empowering because responsibility is opportunity. It means you do have control over your destinate. You don't have to live a miserable life

I'm now 50, been lifting since January, getting stronger, feeling better, gaining muscle and losing weight. Yeah, when I was growing up what's considered to be healthy then isn't now, most of the food we ate when young was beige, there are mitigating factors, however, as an adult. It really comes down to discipline and the realization that it will take time, trust the process, keep turning up, keep working, do what you don't want to do and it gets somewhat easier. It isn't easy, but it's either work hard or die young and miserable...

Im with Russel on the cant fuck up meat haha. Did an RP style mini cut (about 1k cal deficit 6-8 weeks) and then reverse dieting out. During the high deficit, i was de-fatting all my ground beef (cook, strain, was with hot water, well documented method online). Add some salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and to me, still tasted great. Also, defstting worked incredible well. Id make about 8lbs of beef at a time and store it in a giant thpperware to eat out of for my meals. There was literally zero grease on the walls or bottom of the tupperware.

Oh my God, you actually mentioned wiping your ass. I'm about to cry. I feel so saladated finally being able to wipe my own ass with such a victory at my heaviest. I would wrap toilet tissue around a scrubbrash handle just so I could reach It was so fucking humiliating I didn't even feel like a human being anymore just a burden, some disgusting gross Eldridge horror, no wonder I swung so far in the other direction living like that was traumatizing.

Any recommendations for a beginner strength training program for a 47 year old I’ve been back at it for 8months I only have an hour in total
@mackerelgainz5419 ай бұрын
When I got back at it I enjoyed doing 5x5 mixed with 3 sets of 10 for accessory lifts. Allows you to get stronger fast while incorporating some body building lifts. I still do a mix of power lifting and body building every week. Half the week I do power lifting and the other half body building. Would it be more ideal to focus on one? Maybe. But I just get hyped up for heavy lifts, and still want to sculpt my physique. Just pick a plan that's in line with your goals. Figure out if you wanna do calisthenics, functional training, body building, strong man, power lifting, olympic lifting, cross-fit, or a mix of all the above. Wanna get rid of pain or stay pain free? Check out knees over toes guy. Plenty of solid fitness channels here on KZbin.

I think the use of food has a very individual nature to it, much like alcohol. for instance some people can have a beer here and there while others should never touch the alcohol. some people can have a little cake for celebration and others should never have processed sweets. I'm the guy who should never have cake or beer because I can get very addictive. Others who understand and practice moderation can have the fun food with the fuel food. I have to stick with the fuel food.
@raymondmurdock86039 ай бұрын
I hate how people think just because something is a choice for them its a choice for everyone. Yeah, technically, someone might physically have an a choice whether they eat junk food or not. Just like an alcoholic could choose not to reach for the beer. But that doesn't mean it's there fault if they're not strong enough to make the right choice especially if struggling with horrific mental anguish that leads them down a path of addiction But I do hate when people live horrifically. Unhealthy lifestyles on purpose while claiming to be oppressed victims with no personal accountability at all! still an even if it is a choice what good does constantly saying that due? What is it supposed to accomplish? Just guilt & shame people who are already living with guilt & shame. How is that supposed to help them improve?
@raymondmurdock86039 ай бұрын
The problem with nutrition education is not wanting to swing too far. In either direction you constantly stress. A supposedly healthy lifestyle and clean eating 2 obsessively and you might make a child neurotic and eating disordered But swinging in the other direction telling them they're perfect regardless of their body. And they deserve to eat whatever the fuck they want always can lead to Obesity and even if You restrict fun foods to only celebrations. Then they become associated with the feeling of joy which can lead to using them for emotional regulation and developing BED. I think supporting a child's mental health outside of concepts of nutrition is also a vital component. They won't swing too far and either direction if they don't have other reasons that they need to cope with unhealthy lifestyles.

lol You're totally right with the attitude of you. Can't just starve off. 200 pounds is not sustainable but my eating disorder ass that's Currently sustaining a 220 pound weight loss.
