I hate to be so blunt, but I 100% agree with you. The terrible part about it/ I cut out about 50% of the video. Which means there is EVEN MORE golf out there in my google drive!

Great video! Lots to take in, but a couple quick takeaways; If your gonna miss, miss on the high side. Therefore, over read your reads (IE: assume more break). In a way, it kind reminds me of simple strategies like, aiming for the fat part of the green.

There’s always color variations and small debris on the greens, if you can find a landmark in those variations where your aim point is within 2-3 feet of your stance, it makes lining up your shot easier. I stand behind my ball and while I have my ball and the cup are in sight, I take my practice swings to visualize my speed, then pick out my aim point and my landmark closer to the ball. Then I address the ball and align to my landmark then swing with the same speed as my practice stroke. I will keep these lessons in mind, maybe my 1 putt % will go up a bit.

I've heard other golf people talking about 1%, 2% etc around their putts. Never knew how to apply it. Great! Reminds me of calculating chip runout (60 degree runs out ~1x, 9 iron runs out 3x, 7 iron runs out 5x etc.)

My outter failed me yesterday. 26puts on the fron 9. So embarrassing lol. 20 on back 9. My problem was not reading line. I was all out of position and keep pushing them. Aim poit is important, however chech your technic.

Your last video about how to really use aimpoint changed my game so much! I’m more confident on my putts and even my playing buddies noticed the difference. Easily shaved off a few strokes and has me breaking 100 a lot more now and nearing low 90s. Thank you!

I have been an avid fan of yours for such a long time. The way you think your way through a round of golf is something I do myself so watching your content feels relaxing because I can agree with your decisions most of the time compared to other golf content creators. I wish more young golfers would watch your content and not others that might not be so good good for their game.

Find a putter that feels stable. Loose grip and use the weight of the putter to feel distance by how far you go in the backstroke. Imagine in your mind how the ball will go in the hole and aim a foot past for pace. Pick a spot and foot in front of the ball and focus on that for line. I three putt a lot less by being consistent in these things.

Hello there, playa! Thank you for all the content! I have shaved off around 5 to 10 strokes this year on my average round by using your targeting methods, course management, and staying 100% away from swing tip videos. Last year, my best round was 92. I shot 84 last week! My biggest flaw is off the tee. I can hit great tee shots with my 3 wood (230-250 yards total) with some here and there missing left and right. If it's really tight, I'll use my 5i or 6i. But let me tell you what... my driver is just broken and I don't know what to do. I have a coach I go to somewhat regularly, but they are not really able to fix my driving issue. I go from terrible pull hooks to crazy 120-yard slices. This is so frustrating because I genuinely feel as though I'm getting much better in all other aspects. I feel as though I am leaving a lot of strokes on the table, simple by not being able to hit my driver. PLEASE HELP A BROTHER OUT

Tip: I do the same thing with a standard putt to gauge green speed, but I will pace it off and know that that stroke will give me that distance that day so I can pace off putts during my round and know the speed

I know you dont advocate learning swing technique on KZbin but that tip he gave you in that video to lower your hands to align the club shaft through your forearms, that has been very beneficial. That can be seen as a positive. As the ball slows it gets closer to the hole with high side misses. Obviously, missing low side leaves longer 2nd putts, typically. Keep the positive thoughts for improving your confidentiality.

Please tell us your real practice habits. How much do you hit on the range? How much putting practice do you do, both at the course and at home? Are you taking practice swings at home? Do you use a mirror? What training aids do you use? Etc. etc. etc.

I don't practice outside of the course. The lies are all different so it's better for me to hit 2-3 balls from one spot during a practice 9 than to hit 200 balls on the flat range mat which doesn't punish fat shots. The ball is above or below our feet on the course so I practice there, hitting a couple balls to get my bearings. I only take full swings on the golf course. I don't mirrors, training aids. Driving range: I don't go to them because there is nothing to work on and I have never ever benefited from range sessions since I was a kid. There is no transferring to the course unless I have a coach and a grass range. Trackman studio: once every month to see if I can create a wedge matrix but I have failed to take this to grass lies as of yet. Which is a big reason I don't hit on driving ranges because the mat is useless. Putting: I practice alignment on the mat at home. Just making sure my club face aligns where I think it aligns and then stroking the ball on that line to these cups on the PrimePutt. I practice head swiveling to see my line. Mirrors don't do much for putting to be real - no amount of gimmicks can get people to lean the skills of putting. It's instinctual and you need to get out of your own way. There are 4 skills you can learn: reading with your speed, aiming the putter 90° to the intended line, stroking the putt on that intended line, and using the correct pace on that intended line. These can be learned on the putting mat and a practice green. Reading: I read a lot about putting and short game. Most of my putting practice is actually just reading. Unrelated but related: I am always guessing distance from things as I go about life. I want to identify 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,15,20 feet by eye. :Living Meditation: I just made this up but the basic concept is doing what you are doing in the moment and only that. So if you're washing dishes, you are focused on doing that only. No other thoughts about other stuff. When i read, I read. When I shower, I shower. This makes it much easier to tune things out when you hit golf shots. This is more valuable than practicing hitting golf balls.
