I ask about the salary range now especially if it was not posted on the position. I am not going to waste my time with any other interviews. I also ask about who is doing the training because I've had horrible training in the past. I try to ask questions as the interview is going. The interview has a tendency to run out of time & get rushed out of the interview when they are threw with you.

Yes, absolutely! This is considered a role-specific question and is 100% OK to ask! I would recommend reviewing the job posting to ensure it doesn't detail training expected, but if it does, you can always ask for clarification or for the interviewers to expand on what the training will look like.

I had an interview and they went over the health benefits right off the bat. It threw me off,made me feel confident and I didn't get the position. What should I have done?

Prepare for all types of people, asking all types of questions in all types of orders. Everyone is different, accept this aspect before you turn up. The lesson was in this instance Never assume you are getting the position and always remember what is for you, never passes you by. God has a plan for all of us, you applied for a role that belonged to another being but by attending the interview you learned not to assume as this will make you seem over confident to the interviewer. Next time you won't make that mistake again, may make another mistake to perfect and then eventually all will align and you will get the job.

It’s odd they went over that right away - I probably would have been thrown off too. With that being said, take a deep breath, thank them for the information, as questions (as appropriate), and continue on as if it was a “normal” interview!

If the interviewer doesn't speak English well? Or the interviewee? Most jobs shouldn't discriminate, but sometimes language barriers make it tough to be successful in a job which is why someone may not be selected for a role. Sometimes fluency is required. Wish you the best in your search!
