canola oil is generally not hydrogenated unless you choose to buy it that way. By the logic of refining being bad, pure olive oils should also be considered a bad fat

Thanks for taking time to make the video. Somethings one has to be wise and let their instinct lead them. I always buy unrefined oils like extra Virgin olive oil, and virgin sesame oil and virgin Coconut oil. I have used sunflower oil for deep frying . So nothing much to change.

I agree it was invented in Canada. But the early Canola plant derived from a hybrid of the rapeseed plant using non-GMO methods. GMO canola plant existed later on. Some small farms still retained the original non-GMO seeds which produces the expeller-pressed Organic Canola Oil today. The Organic Canola Oil is not easily found on the market but Whole Foods most likely will sell the organic version of the oil.

@@AmazingKitchen all canola oil is toxic. It's actually rapeseed oil containing eruic acid, a toxin and can make you go blind and perferate your intestines. There are many other cons you will come to know about as you research. It's used as machine oil. The Canadian government paid the FDA to put it on GRAS list and subsidized it making it the cheapest oil on the market. So when you see other oils listed with canola oil on the ingredient list you can be 100 % sure it's all canola. Rapeseed oil had such a bad reputation that it was renamed canadian oil then changed again to canola oil. CONSUMER BEWARE!

Very good video. I started studying oils after being diagnosed with cancer in 1979. Which i cured naturally using oils and a plant diet. I agree with everything except frying with olive oil. Fry only with saturated fat or avocado oil. Which i mix with a saturated fat in small amounts.People won't go wrong following the advise on your video. Also butter and lard are good.

Similar to regular sunflower oil, this oil's low-saturated, high-unsaturated fat content promotes healthy blood-cholesterol levels. As monounsaturated fats have no impact on coronary heart disease. Sunflower oil contains more than 80% of monounsaturated fats which makes it good for your heart. The impressive fatty acid content in sunflower oil helps in maintaining a balance in your body. Furthermore, it does not contain any saturated fats which help in controlling the cholesterol levels in your body.

I like your video, but could you please explain to me when Canola Oil is partially hydrogenated? Partial Hydrogenation only occurs when creating margarine and as of June 2018, is illegal to produce. Margarine has been made for years with a process called interesterification, which does not create trans fat. I assume this video is talking about strict oils, however, and not margarine anyways. Also, how does the cost of producing the oil impact the health benefits? Canola has the best ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3 of all oils.
