1) Do NOT Combine Protein with Starch in a Meal
2) Pair Starches with Healthy Fats & Non-Starchy Vegetables
3) Leafy greens and non-starchy vegetables go with everything
4) Eat fruits alone
5) Drink Plenty of Water, but NOT with Your Meals
Do you follow these guideline? Let me know in the comments below!

I know this is an old video but I ate this way without knowing I was food combining and with exercise I went from size 11/12 to size 5/6 in 3 months. This was many, many years ago. But I ate one bowl of cereal for breakfast (I used to eat 2 bowls), rice and veggies for lunch and chicken stir fry for dinner. So I'm going back to that to see what results I achieve now.

Hi, yes it’s true that we all should be consuming a balanced diet. However to some people, if we were to include too much of starchy carbs in, it may interfere with your digestion. If you do experience that, then try to combine protein with leafy greens + non starchy veggies, you can always introduce some starch in small quantity and see how your body reacts. For me personally, some starch makes me feel bloated, but not all. So it’s about introducing and eliminating food. There isn’t one solid answer that fits everybody. I hope this helps 🙂

1. Eat fruit 30 mins b4 eating..this will make your body become alkaline. 2. Take a pinch of salt with your baby finger and put it on "salty" section/receptor of your tongue. This prevent food poisoning. 3. Eat more veggies than carb& protein. Train yourself to become a semi-vegetarian. Eat meat only once month of you want to stay healthy. Lesser animal legs/no legs at all is better. E.g. fish and chicken. Beef or mutton is hard to digest since it's got a lot of fat in it. 4. Rule for your belly when eating. 1/3 for food, 1/3 for water & 1/3 for breath. 5. Chew your food slowly. Best chewed 40x times. Help faster digestion. Feel more satisfied. Not easily hungry after eating. 6. Don't lean back on chair while eating. Sit straight. Best is to sit on floor. 7. Recite the dua' before eating or 'bismillah' for 'barokah'. 8. Lick your fingers after finish eating. It will helps digestion and constipation. There are many enzymes at our fingers that will help our food to be digested faster. Hope these tips help...they are all the sunnah of Rasulullah.

Haha!!! Like I said in the video this is not the answer but rather it depends on individual and how your digestion works. If I were to consume a larger quantity of rice with protein, it does leave me feeling bloated and sluggish after. I’m sure most of us experience that especially after a heavy lunch. For me, if I were to consume small amounts of rice with protein, I’m ok. 🙂

I cried because I can't believe I ate that much but that's how much I'm eating every day it's the only way I feel full. And I constantly crave fast food and I have constant migraines every day. I do 15 minutes on the treamill every day but that only burns me 162 calories but I'm too big to do anything else without being in pain . @@lesliedaubert4250 You can eat yogurt because it's fermented and the bacteria in it can digeste the lactose for you. I think u got it wrong about acidic and alkaline enzymes. In human Digestive system acidic enzymes like gastric acid are released in stomach and alkaline enzymes are released in small intestine. So it doesn't neutralize each other same time. In fact in India we eat rice with lentils which is starch and protein together. And it works well.
@Seph.ackerman
@Seph.ackerman 5 жыл бұрын
Sorry but this is not how the function of gastric acid pH level adjustment works from a medical point of view and sounds more like what a 'nutritionist' after their weekend course would tell you. The 'environment' in your stomach is always "acidic", having a pH level between 1.5 and 3.5 regardless (...) of what you're eating (or drinking - cause a lot of people are stupid enough to believe that drinking alkaline water helps to 'regulate' their body's pH level, which is 100% bullshit) and the neutralization of aforementioned gastric acid is done in the first section of your small intestine, called duodenum through sodium bicarbonate which is released by the pancreas and this again is stimulated by a hormone, secretin, which is regulating different parts of liquid homeostasis in the whole body. It is, however, not affected by the combination of the foods on your plate. While encouraging people to eat a healthier variation of foods in general, you shouldn't back it up with 'facts' that, at best, are based on pseudo-science or beliefs. Greetings from med school.

I was told eating the fruit by itself, though it has fiber, can still spike your blood sugar. Eating a protein balances it out vs eating the fruit alone. The same concept as peanut butter and crackers we give to diabetics when their sugar drops in the hospital. The peanut butter balances out the carbs. However fruit and certain meat proteins digested together, I heard was not good for your digestion. I saw that in another video. This was 5 years ago when I commented, so my diet was better then, I need to get back to it.

@@missb1982 Well simply avoid eating the fruit when it's too ripe. The riper the food the higher the sugar content. The longer foods are cooked once again the higher the sugar content. The order you eat food in also can prevent high blood spikes which is why I eat fats protein and carbs are last.Dr Jason Fung has a video on this.

Your content is amazing. It's informative yet comprehensive, and you even give examples. But what I like the most is you explain the science behind it too. I think it's important that people understand that instead of just following through. You inspire me. Kudos!

Impressed that you admit this is subjective experience & personal opinion rather than scientific fact. However, baked beans make you fart no matter what you eat with them! I found this informative and liked the vid.

Chocolate _Kiwi basically the same here 💀 I’m trying to lose weight and luckily I am able to say no to junk, but mom basically doesn’t like any vegetables but a rare few, so having some in my meals is rare. I can never get my 2 and a half cups a day :/

I agree with you. I also have a very sensitive stomach. When everybody else feel just fine eating everything , combining anything, me myself don't. Huuuu. Tsk tsk.

Thanks a lot for your interesting advice for food digestion. I usually have digestive problems while eating rice with meat at breakfast. I find that eating rice with vegetables in the morning ease my stomach. I will adopt your reccommendations to my breakfast and lunch. Hope to see some progress.

Kat G totally agreed there are too many rules!! There’s no one size fits all. Do what works best for you and YOU understand your body better than anybody else. But, if these principles can help some people out there, that’ll be amazing. I believe in moderation =)

Too many rules? What do you do for a living, people? Sleep? C'mon, use your brain for something beneficial for change... and memorise sth. useful. It's not complicated AT ALL and it definitely is WORTH IT! Good luck (and good memory) :)

1. Don't combine meat and starch 2. Combine starch with healthy fat 3. Eat fruit alone (don't eat after meal, it will digest slower, ferment, and bloat you) 4. Don't drink water with food There is no science behind this, only expirience
