I think rather than doing a spring bulb “live” tour you could film each of the areas as they are in full bloom and put all the clips together into one video maybe set to some beautiful relaxing music. The poppy plants have these variegated edged leaves with little spiny things on them that look just like weeds to me! Ugh! I think I've only pulled about eight of them though and I think I spread like 300 seeds... so maybe I will get more? 🤣

I really wish you would’ve shown the spring bulbs around the shed. Even if it doesn’t look the way you wanted it to. Especially because it didn’t turn out the way you wanted it to quite yet, it’s all a process, right? It is helpful and real. Plus, we were all so invested in all the bulbs you planted. It would’ve been nice to see what happened. We all learn from you. Also, I seriously felt like a total geek- clapping when you hinted towards you actually getting a small part of a “terraced” garden area that you want so much. Sweet. 😊♥️

I so agree with you. We all struggle with our visions not quite getting to where we’d like. It is helpful to see when someone who has so much more experience also struggles with areas not quite doing what they had hoped. I also had quite short tulips and it would have been a learning moment for lots. And as you improve the area for next year it would have been great to see that progression.

In response to not being able to do a bulb tour because of all the different bloom times. It would be wonderful to implement a “what’s looking awesome in the garden this week” montage video. My favorite video you have put out is the rainy day garden tour video from a few years ago. So I’m imagining a similar feel to that one, just like a five minute video with pleasant music and video of the plants that are doing great that week. No dialogue, just beautiful views. It seems like a challenge to find the right weather and timing for when everything looks awesome. But if you just highlighted the stars of the week it might take some of the pressure off. As someone that runs a creative business through Etsy, I totally understand that it is a lot easier to come up with ideas than to implement them. If only there where more hours in the day.

EEK! Laura, when you described the flying “ants” clustering in your sunporch, that reminded me of a very similar experience we had in our sunporch. It turns out they were termites. $2000 later, we had taken care of the problem (we caught it pretty early), but if you let it go unchecked it can be tens of thousands of dollars because you not only have to treat for the termites but you also have to repair the structure of your home. Definitely have a professional come out and take a look!

You both were placed together for a reason. God Had a Plan when it came to you too. He was going to show his beauty and love through you. And how to have compassion, love, to serve your community, and bring millions of us toward him all without saying a thing about God in the process. They should play some of these videos in marriage prep classes on how to communicate. I am stretching it a bit here but for me and what I witnesses growing up, you are a totally blessing to me.

I would love to see a tour of the bulbs, but I hear ya; they all bloom at different times, and it would be difficult to give a tour of them. I wonder if a montage of pics might be a nice way to show us their beauty. Just a thought :)

Spring bulbs are generally spotty... maybe a collage video of pictures w voice over? Seeing your garden mistakes/ less than perfect is always educational for me too! I love your LONG full garden tours they are watched again and again!! KZbin always autoplay one of your tours if I just let it run. :)

Great recap video! I always learn something new - today I learned about seed potatoes. Thanks! Can't wait to see Aaron's new drip storage system. Have a great week!

Laura you need to take pictures of the area you are trying to envision changes for and load them on your computer and photoshop the various changes your contemplating then you can see exactly how it would look! Love you guys! 💖💖💖

I’m happy just to see the bulbs in the background of the area you’re working in during your videos.

Love love this channel and your sweet family! Thank you for sharing so much knowledge - you truly do inspire! Also, there are different types of golf carts. I use a "utility" cart with a flip up bed. It has a weight capacity of 900 lbs (you can also upgrade the speed if you want to go really fast LOL!) Pretty comparable in use to a gator, but quite a bit less expensive (at least in our area...).. Wish I could share more useful knowledge back to you in consideration of your generosity. Thank you for being yoy!!

Thinking about berry beds, wouldn't you want to put the restrictive panels just inside the forms?

When you guys start adding tropicals to your Hartley, it would be so cool if you ordered some uncommon and rare plants to match that unique esthetic! It’s a dream 👌🏽

Could you set a large pot on top of the lid to the storm drain with something pretty planted in it? You could tell the county you “marked” it for them so they are able to find it easily. 🤓

Just an idea for the Hartley counter top. Could use a rectangular copper planter(s) filled with cactus , air plants, sedum and maybe fairy lights . Would be fun to have decorative arrangements also depending on the holiday or special occasions.

Listening to your dreams and thoughts about the Hartley is so exciting. Loved watching the stone floor going in. Can't wait to see the Hartley "done" and you all having hot chocolate while the snow is coming down.....so magical ! :-) Thank you for taking us along.

Whenever you say things aren’t all blooming at the same time you could take a few pictures and videos for each bloom and then put them together even if it’s just a few minutes on the highlights channel we would really enjoy that thanks!
