My best piece of advice (and this has nothing to do with your beautiful car) Cut the music so we can concentrate on what your saying. Or at least have the music subtle in the background *using the right music to set the mood of the topic helps. And lastly I know this personally being a new York native, we get told often that we speak fast, traveling around the globe allowed me to slow it down a bit .with that being said try to slow it down so you make clear emphasis on the points your making. Remember if you need to cram a bunch of info you can use jump cuts to drive the narrative quicker. All in all dope car, sucks to hear all the hassle and I hope this advice helps, if it doesn't just look at popular KZbinrs like Casey naistat and you'll see what I mean

I share the same passion as you Andy. I love the Crown Vic. Only thing is i live in Sydney Australia where there are no crown vics at all. I've always dreamed of importing one here. I found 1 for sale here in Australia 3months ago , a black and white ex oceanside CA police with 110,000 miles in good condition. I went to see it and i fell in love with it and bought it . These cars are SUPER rare here man when i drove it home it turned heads everywhere. Only problem is she has to be 30 years old to be legally registered because its LHD and all the cars here are RHD. Stupid laws here man , shes a 2009 so she will be in the garage for another 22 years. When she's ready to be registered i want her to look exactly like yours with fresh black paint , tints , she has the go rhino and the dual spotlights already on . I'm going to fully restore her . I still cant believe i have a crown vic now here in Australia man its amazing , there are probably only a handful in the country. Anyway bro i love your channel and everything you're doing on here. 22 years is too long to wait. I've got a crown vic (bought it before I even took my road test lol) and they're so fun to drive. I don't care what people say about it being a police car, I would even buy a civilian one and just give it a tune, they're just that awesome. Just make some sort of conversion kit and see if you can get away with it 😜

The police interceptor badge is the model of the car. The logo is owned by Ford motor company. No agency can claim the rights to it. By law they can't do shit to you. It's beautiful car almost bought one but it had too many mechanical issues someday I will find a good one.

Lovely Car there man, I'm an active Law Enforcement officer and just got my personal 2008 Crown Victoria Interceptor former Massachusetts state police car totalled by a drunk driver along with 5 others while parked overnight and fled scene but caught on video and ID'ed from two homes, my car's go pro cam and street witness. I'm pissed I lost it but will be using the $3,000 that his insurance paid me book value to purchase a retired 2014 Ford Taurus Interceptor. Never had an issue and just had an antenna and GPS tracker in the back and bumper push bar and tints. No lights,siren or center console equipment attached. Loved the fact that other motorists avoided me or gave me right of way which after being in 3 car accidents in my Toyota was a relief. Wife is glad because she never liked it but likes the new one I'm about to get....lol.

If you are anything but a middle aged WHITE GUY you will get assloads of shit driving these things especially with tint and aux antennas. Call it profiling, call it whatever, they don't like civilians having an advantage over the POS crapwagons they are now in. A CV can hold its own with most of the other (mostly) V6 unibodies things that Detroit has pushed off on the Police market. And not in the least, most of these guys MISS THEIR OLD CV. Badly. Just ask them, they will tell you.

Nice car my friend. One thing I would change, and please don't take this as an insult but rather constructive criticism...lose the trunk lid antennas. Or have only 1 on the trunk and make it so it runs directly through the lid instead of having a magnetic base. Great video

Great looking Crown Vic when I was younger I'm in my 50s now well when I was in my 20s I've had all sorts of police vehicles Chrysler and Caprice and Crown Vic got harassed a lot fact is if you got an exceptional clean Crown Victoria they don't like it because it still looks like it's in service get one that's dolled out paint and don't look so good I can guarantee you they won't bother you and if you're around 50 years old that's another bonus they won't bother you then you look like an old cop haha thanks for the video well put together have a great day

Nice CVPI!👍. I’m retired LE (MI, now live in SC). Fortunately I’ve never had any problems with my *full-loaded/unfitted* Tahoe. Most LEO’s just give me a wave 👋. I believe (& this was my mentality when I worked in LE) is that civilians who drive retired cruisers are a great deterrent for motorists! Similar to taking a proactive policing approach; the more units in the road can be a smart deterrent for speeding, etc motorists. The positive for us (civilians in retired cruisers) is that people generally get out of our way when driving! The negative for us is that people generally will drive A LOT slower if you’re behind them!🤣 Good luck in your pursuit of a career in LE! How much longer do you have to go???Honestly, I couldn’t do it in the times we live in current day.😢 Glad I took early retirement.

I have an '03 P71. Mine needs a lot of work (and is getting it done), but the driveline is in excellent condition. Last Spring, I took O'Malley (yes, I name my cars) for a little spin around the West Coast, and the only problem I had was that I'm too big to use the back seat for a nap. My legs cramped up every time I did. The best feature was that I could cruise through West Texas at the posted speed limit of 80 MPH, and still get better than 20 MPG. That was almost a 6,000 mile trip. As for what the police think of my Interceptor?.. Freeport, IL. doesn't seem to mind it. Stephenson County Shariff's department likes it, and miss their old P71s and P7Bs.

They don’t use those car in NY no more and most undercover cops I see in NYC now have all kinds of cars, Yellow taxi, pickup trucks, Toyota Camry, dodge charger, fords Focus, construction Vans and they even have Uber vehicles with TLC license plates to pull people over. One thing I relise about these car most of them hide the Antennas inside the vehicles so people won’t know that they’re police unless you see the front Grill that has 2 or 4 small lights installed there. NYC is crazy,,

Legally, you are not impersonating an officer by driving a police vehicle. The laws regarding this have to do with light regulations such as light color and alternation pattern/speed. Mainly, the law has to do with your activities - so "investigating" someone or trying to make an illegal arrest would constitute impersonating an officer of the law.

4.6 is a very durable motor, ford probably choose it taking into account the rigorous abuse it would have to stand up from day to day police work. Also periods of prolonged idling.

4.6 isn't that durable... I can't keep one together in my P71. The connecting rods always fail. My newest (fifth engine) new 4.6 short block I'm building has all forged internals, will have 4 valve cleaned up heads, to let her breath and stand up to MY abuse, as well as the horse power...

Qdatm20 Bennett yea, the 4.6 gets really finicky about anything over 450 hp mainly connecting rods in high rpm situations... it can become a very snappy, responsive, power house for the CVPI. The cars natural weight makes them MARVELOUS road course competitors with the right suspension upgrades. It'd be nice to also find a few modded CVPI friends or similar cars to run time attacks and various other road course races other than drag strips. The CVPI with all her reputation is still very underrated, and has proven themselves with the right owner to be nasty, win hungry sleepers!

They were not that durable in real life. I suspect they were just little too small for the car. The transmissions and rear differential also had unusually high failure rates from '09 - '11. The cost of operation, along with the antiquated designs, are definitely what killed the Crown Vic. The car that really replaced it wasn't the Exploder Interceptor, but the V6 Charger Pursuit. Lowest purchase price, lowest costs of operation, very good maintenance history (from 2011+). If Dodge would release the V6 with AWD and the 850RE 8-spd auto, I think the need for the V8 cars would disappear.

Not even close with the P7B. In actual police service, they averaged about 12-14 mpg. The new Exploder Interceptor and the AWD Charger average about 15, the RWD V8 Dodge gets about 16, and the V6 Charger does pretty well at 18 mpg average. This is combined mileage, including idle time. In larger fleets, even a quarter or half mpg is a huge improvement.

From what I am aware, the badge isn't technically legal since it has the "Police" notation on the exterior. But I've heard it both ways.

That's false. The badge comes on the car from the factory, as the trim level of the car is called the 'Police Interceptor'. They cannot stop and cite you for having said badge on your car. Friend of mine was stopped in Texas about that on his Vic, took the officer to court and it was dropped as it's the name of the car.

Jay Byrd I’m in KY. I’ve had a couple of small issues with mine since I took delivery. I would recommend having the one you are looking at inspected by a independent mechanic prior to purchase. I didn’t and I’ve got several check engine lights on right now. They assured me everything worked as it should, but my radio doesn’t work and the horn doesn’t work. So definitely have a pre purchase inspection done before flying out to pick it up or having it delivered to you.

Jay Byrd you’re good. For me shipping was cheaper than flying in and driving it home. It was almost $375 for a one way flight, but it was like $325 to have it shipped to my house, I had them include it in the purchase price. To find a independent mechanic I would just google ford mechanic in Chicago and find the highest rated one and call them and ask if they’ll do a PPI (pre purchase inspection) they’ll usually cost up to $75. Then call the dealership and tell them you want to take it to that mechanic to have it inspected.
