Lets get more specific: She is the most dominant in female gym bouldering, this is the only comparison possible. Lets be clear, she is great great climber, it is simply hard to compare with other types of climbing.

She's the Federer of her generation but there will be a Djokovich, Nadal etc. Plus climbing has the size-difficulty normalisation problem.

There's no Djokovic or Nadal. Janja is all by herself with rivals being distant 2nd. She's more comparable to Magnus Carlsen in Chess than is Federer.

@@GyariSan1 Federer was insurmountable for many years before Nadal came along (ask Andy Roddick) , and it was a few years after that until Djokovich came along. All dominance is temporary, especially when there's enough incentive to drive competition.

Janja is very average sized as well. 164cm is not a lot. There are taller competitors not doing half as well as she is

No Shauna = On Paper Wayne Gretzky is ...as a brief glance at his records on wiki will show. Can Janja catch up ..yes very much so. If she is still utterly dominant at 30 like Gretzky was ..then she wins.

Janja has a great physique and simply makes use of it, but Jain Kim's technique is far superior. Jain Kim climbing is much better than Janja Garnbret.

in climbing only one thing matter at the end: get to the top. Janja has an absolute great technic and she does not need all the time to execute all the little extra possible technic applications to reduce the force on her upper body, she simply does not need to do it and she goes with faster moves. You cannot judge Janja technic capability like that, she simply do not need to apply as much the way the route are set.
