Hey Steve, where did you buy your gts-t? Ive been looking at some import places out of Cali, I live on the east coast. Some of these places seem over priced but buying from someone off the street could be risky too.. Just curious about your experience. I dont want to spend 20k on something that breaks a month after purchase.

I have a 97 gtst with a 26 swap. I've owned 8 skylines before I decided I definitely wanted to build a gts. it's more exciting to drive better looking and all around a better drivers car. the gtr's is almost to refined. my gts gives me a gut turning "it's going to try and kill me" feeling that I never got from a gtr's with the same whp. ppl think I'm crazy and I should have kept my gtr but if you have owned and built both you would understand. cool video man and thank you. my gtst made 587 on 11psi need fuel system to turn up the boost and the car is a riot I wouldn't trade it for anything.

right now i own a supercharged trans am but i did own a 89 gtr when the r32 was first available in the us market... and i loved it until it bored me not to say it wasn't fast as hell... funner then most the cars i have ever driven and it turned heads everywhere... i always had someone taking pics or asking me about it...but its kinda too ez... idk how to describe it but i feel brecken does a good job of it... my trans am on launching with the same hp on the track is a monster to control i have done 4-5 runs and im sweating and feel worn down from the work i had to do and i feel good ... the gtr made me feel that way at first but then it just went down the track flawlessly every run was the same even in the rain i had good times with no effort from me except for shift points... and thats not to difficult after a while.... so now im actually finalizing the paper work to sell the trans am this weekend and have been debating for a month on what to get and i do have $(30k+read to go) so i can get another gtr but after driving the gtst gtr and r33 gtst and investing time to decide its down to 2 a 91 gts-t type m with 35k miles basically all stock except gtr bumpers hood and grill with mint paint for $15,999.... or a r33 gts-t with rb25 sitting at about 400hp (honestly my goal is 350-400 so no further work involved) with 125,000 kil on car unknown on motor for $18,000.. i much rather feel my heart trying to escape from my chest that why i do this for the rush.. plus 400 hp in the r32 gtst and r33 gtst ... all goals achieved under 20k , compared to the 35k all together id have to invest in a gtr to get it to like 1400hp to freak me out but then its not the most street friendly..... also yes this will be detuned compared to my gtr on its last dino was 600hp and too ez to drive :p (fun per $ = gtst)

Dude hell yeah I f****** hate skylines but if I save up my money cuz it's just f****** hard for me right now man I'm trying to get a car right now but I would totally get a GTS man Skyline I found one that they only want 3000 for the car and to ship it to New Jersey I have family in New Jersey I can talk to my aunt and hopefully I can get it shipped to her place and go down there and pick it up cuz they don't f****** ship in Virginia while I actually live at which irritates the hell out of me all together it will be 5,000 I was thinking about getting a hatchback Honda cuz they're cheap you can buy one for a hundred something or thousand . they're just really cheap all around cars but I don't know man if I get 5000 I wouldn't mind buying a GTS Skyline way better than the GTR my opinion just because something has a bad your name and people think it's good because everybody wants it and because it made a name for herself doesn't that say make it better. Any car can be any car in pretty much as the same as the GTR it's just all GTRs are manual and this is just an automatic but I fux Wit It heavily. And who in the hell in their right mind spend 30000 of 40000 if you are a middle class dude if you get in the action and you'll go bankrupt and wind up homeless the GTS is the exact same but half of the price and half of the cost like this guy said

MY IMPRESSION: There are plenty of reasons why the GT-R is so desired. A generation of kids grew up driving the GT-R in Gran Turismo. Many of my peers read features in automotive magazines, but honestly 2 Fast 2 Furious locked it down for me. The allure is also heighten due to the 25 year import band from the NHTSA’s (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration). Skyline is truly a breed of its own with respect that surpasses the Nissan brand itself. No other Nissan vehicle has been put on a pedestal so grand as the GT-R.

I chose the GTST because I have a family and I know how I am with cars and the amount of $ I put in to them. The GTST in the long term costs me less. Right now she weighs 2,600 lbs and has 325hp as the crank. That's 250hp per tonnes. She is amazingly fun to drive and sounds better than birds singing on a sunny day. haha. I would go GTST any day because I am trying to please myself and have fun and not buy a GTR just because someone else will think I'm cool.

The thing is, 1. I love drifting. 2. I love touge. That being said, I hear that the GTR like most AWD cars is a bitch to drift in. You'd have to be incredibly skilled to even get close to pulling anything like that off with the ATESSA in play (I've also heard that you can turn that off). As that's the case, I'm on the fence about it. I love the GTR for the sheer engineering prowess behind its all wheel drive system. That being said, it's not a drift car. It was built for gripping around corners in the Japanese grand prix. With that in mind, maybe a cheaper RWD version would be the better choice for a track style drift build. Maybe.
@user-ue6iv2rd1n4 жыл бұрын
Look at all the footage of GTR's drifting on touges. The GTR is a homologation car the other is just a base model, no contest GTR every time if you have the money. Oh and thanks to the USA making the prices stupid, non GTR's are massively overpriced they were worth about 2k before they ruined it.

who also hates the people who buy a GTR just to build the AWD and WAS system out, to dreuft it, instead of getting an GTST?
@amoney114 жыл бұрын
Honeslty I think the reason more people don’t buy more gtst, is because it’s not a GTR

Hey man, awesome video, helped me a lot. I'm looking to get a skyline, too and I've been wondering if there's no r32/33 gts or something, because I really want to stay at a maximum of 200hp because it's my first car and I don't want to overdo it. Thanks for your help

Hey man. You mentioned taking out a loan to buy a Skyline. Who would finance a Skyline? That's an old car. Short of taking out a personal loan (crazy interest rate) what are other options?
@leviclark43056 жыл бұрын
Joseph P Most importers also finance cars they sell. Theres also LoanMe which gives loans from 2500-100k just moderate to high interest but you can use the money on anything. Also theres a lot of companies that specialize in it

If I can have at least 75% of the power I’d be happy but I think I’m going for the gtst I can afford it n I just want the car I’m not even sure if I can handle a gtr I feel I would wreck n destroy my love so I’d go for that but is the motor more reliable then the rb26?
@skylinedude9515 жыл бұрын
rb20 well maintained is very reliable

Sorry buddy. A gtr skyline is not only superior in every way it also holds it's value way better. Get a gtr if have the money people. Coming from a gtr owner for over 8 years.
