I had a tiny weevil show up in my kitchen, suddenly everywhere! Going thru every item in a cupboard looking for the source is a big job. And I couldn’t find it, but got rid of all the bugs & gave up for the day. Then when not expecting it, I got out spices and found a small container of paprika filled with the pests. Yikes! A small hole, for shaking the spice out, was open & it let the bugs in. What a nightmare. Living in a very HOT climate, I’m paranoid about bugs, & I don’t want chemicals inside, so I use cheap, sifted boric acid in the back of cupboards, closets, drawers, appliances, & more…. It works well & I reapply it every couple months.

Drew, the coffee grounds hack is making me laugh. Years ago, I had ants in my classroom. My Hispanic custodian told me to sprinkle my coffee grounds along the wall where the ants were coming in. I chalked it off to an “old wives tale” from the old country. I was convinced he was setting me up, that he would then go rat me out to the principal so I’d get written up. I know, paranoid but that was my truth. Now this guy comes on your show and says it’s a repellant. Ah, I’m apologizing to that custodian now.
