Henry's statement in the insanity ending of pizzeria simulator points to shadow freddy being an illusion generated for Afton's own purpose, 'He lured them back to a familiar place again, he tricked them again, he overpowered them again. He took from them the only thing they had, AGAIN.' this implies in no uncertain terms that shadow Freddy was the trick William Afton used to lure the spirits in fnaf 3 and what's worse is that it means it could have been pre-fusion lefty. Lefty had mimicry capabilities built in from security signals to music so it should easily have been capable of mimicking a voice to capture the attention of the 4 spirits so Afton could search for the puppet after destroying their bodies. The puppet is captured and fused by lefty/shadow Freddy disrupting the happiest day as implied by said minigame and the fact that the puppets mask is not part of either ending image in Fnaf 3, hence how the final fnaf 3, night end mini game DOESN'T feature shadow Freddy in any capacity, he's achieved his intended purpose. Setting up for Afton's downfall and pizzeria simulator in one fell swoop.

Shadow Freddy symbolises the death and loss of life within the fazbear entertainment, that is also another reason why he is colored dark purple because the main cause of those crime scenes was mostly commonly known as someone purple. "Your wickedness made of flesh" doesn't stand for being literally in William head, it actually gives us an idea of Shadow Freddy representing the sins and death that was caused by William. William is the only man that have done unforgivable acts and is the source of starting these unholy experiments including remnant extraction. No body can identify Shadow Freddy, he can only be seen by the eyes of children or those whose death is close. Henry has no idea what happened in fnaf 1 because he wasn't there, he only speaks from what he had heard which was William taking down the animatronics. **SHADOW** Freddy lured the kids towards William to help free the victims, literally this did not turn out in William favor as he end up literally getting springlocked. Not because of water or anything purely because of paranormal activities done by the awaken spirits. Edit1: Also Lefty wasn't build until a decade or so.

I liked your theory, but sadly, there's a big hole in it. See, a long time ago, Scott said that William was the only one who had ever been in a springlock failure in the game continuity. Also, I think you should try looking at Nightmare's voice line in a different way. You see, you're interpreting it as, it means nightmare is the physical manifestation of William's wickedness. but what if it just means nightmare/shadow Freddy was created by something wicked William did.

Oof you were close, Shadow Freddy symbolize every death incidents happened within the Fazbear Entertainment, the reason for his dark purple colored was due to the fact that most of these "Unforgivable sins" were done by William who is mainly known for purple color. In UCN nothing is real, everything made up by OMC, Vengeful Spirit or The One You Shouldn't Have killed which that is on a whole another topic. Nightmare was made as a reference to Shadow Freddy but physically there rather than act as a super-natural entity, children know Shadow Freddy exists as he only appears to their eyes due to the fact that they are dead. Every quote and lines are completely done to try and represent the actuality of the character as much as possible which means some can be inconsistent and more. In Conclusion: That quote was just reference to Nightmare physically created to be there to torment William, and that the Original Shadow Freddy is some super-natural entity that symbolize sins that were committed in fazbear entertainment which are mostly done by William.

Shadow Freddy is an Easter egg (Which is true) But I don’t think Scott/Steel Wool has given up on this character quite yet. Perhaps he may become a DLC character in Help Wanted 2. Or maybe there would be a point where shadow Freddy would be revealed to be a darker reflection of the spirit who inhabits Golden Freddy in a potential new game. Or maybe he is a shadow of Afton taking the form of a purple bear (Once the monster dies in the fire, his shadow fades away). But of course that’s just me. And to phrase MatPat: “That’s a theory, a Game Theory!”

so..heres an idea. following the springlock theory. glamrock freddy is friendly because. maybe shadow freddy somehow got control of the animatronic and thats why it doesnt attack Gregory because he wants to help Gregory like how he did with the kids setting them free and is doing the same with Gregory "setting him free" quite literally because the aim of sb is to escape. so its just a idea but idk it could work.

There are lots of theories surrounding it, we need to first identify the enigma duo. The most popular theory by far are that both are made of manifestation but... Shadow Freddy and RWQFS are not manifestations of agony, its more than that. Both entities are hard to understand but are important key into understand fnaf religion. Shadow Freddy is the symbolism of William victims and all the death incidents within the Fazbear Entertainment, while RWQFS on the other hand is the symbolism of remnant and agony of the missing spirits and souls. Shadow Freddy can be identified as the death itself, before the fnaf 4 was retconned to not be the final end it was clear that Scott had a different lore in mind related with Shadow Freddy and that was him being death that slowly reaches the crying child each game.. starting with fnaf 1 to 4. But once that idea was retconned Shadow Freddy stopped making any appearance. Edit1: I am probably late.

If shadow Freddy & shadow bonnie are springlock victims what about the other shadows? Shadow mangle, shadow puppet, shadow balloon boy & shadow DeeDee. shadow puppet and shadow balloon boy are from the fnaf 3 minigames. Shadow mangle is from help wanted.

Shadow Freddy and RWQFS are not shadows, they represent other things. Shadow Freddy symbol the death and sad incidents within the fazbear entertainment thus named "SHADOW" Freddy, while RWQFS represents the remnant and the entirely of posses that happened in the entertainment thus named random smashed keys due to the fact that most of the moments in fnaf used to be described within the minigame which are scripted with codes. Shadow Mangle, Marionette or Balloon Boy are not part of this at all they are simply the showcase of pain and agony the children felt.

This argument is pretty much flawed scott's statement was referring to how things in shadows can be misinterpreted in the eyes of children, he isn't referring to shadow freddy they basically saw afton as a purple freddy, and for some reason this purple freddy can enter rooms they can't enter, and is not being stopped by RXQ who's literally in the same building as them? hell no Jeremy and fritz in fnaf 2 and 3 saw shadow freddy on multiple occasions, and they're not children Shadow freddy pops up to a guy in a fredbear suit, blocking him from giving pizza to kids and duplicating while doing so even tho he doesn't exist according to you nightmare mentions how he's william's wickedness taking a form, and nightmare has some connections to shadow freddy, the nightmare mode is titled "shadow freddy" in the files, and the story "hide & seek" from fazbear frights mentions how a shadow animatronic latched itself onto someone, caused them nightmares and even grew claws and sharp teeth and even got bigger in size, this is of course a parallel and a confirmation to "shadow freddy is nightmare" etc... you're wrong simply

@@novustalks7525 my essay of a comment got deleted, so I will just summarize it but, their appearences are in fnaf 2, 3, 4, world, ffps, ucn, ar, the man in room 1280, hide & seek, You're the band, FF epilogues, and likely security breach essentially, there are key-points in all of these that give an important role to both of them also, fnaf ar already disproves your bs by showing how RXQ is made of dark remnant, which is later on elaborated in fazbear frights as agony, in which fazbear frights implies that all of the shadows are made from agony, not only that, but why would the animatronics mistake afton for shadow freddy but not michael in fnaf 1 when he looks almost the same as william (they even think he is him) when electricity goes out also, you didn't even counter my previous points, thus, your theory have been invalidated, nice try overall

@@Faris-xj3wu The enigma duo are not made of agony, they are key points to explanation of fnaf religion starting with their symbol, Scott is trying to tell us that lets start with Shadow Freddy that he is symbolism of death cases happened within the fazbear entertainment, thus named "SHADOW" Freddy.. Shadow as in the dark and depth of unholy sides of this pizzeria not because he is a literal shadow. RWQFS on the other hand is the symbolism of remnant and life that had happened in the cursed place thus not named "SHADOW" instead bunch of smashed keys and that theoretically is reference to how we got to the idea of remnant and such through minigames which are line of codes. First of all Fazbear Frights have **SOME** canon to them, that doesn't make the entire book series completely canon, and second of all Shadow Freddy only appeared when someone was going to die. Fnaf 2 was the bite of 87, Fnaf 1 was the kids being guided by him to their fate and Fnaf 3 was filled with small remnant traits which are phantoms. In Fnaf World which are **SEMI-CANON** to the games have Shadow Freddy literally state "I will eat your soul" and has almost every one shot abilities, while RWQFS is complete opposite of a attack type comparing to Shadow Freddy as he has every support including revive capabilities. Fnaf 4 theory: Fnaf 4 originally was meant to be the end of everything, including all of fnaf. The Chest itself represented that ideology as it was meant to close everything that we ever experienced. ---- Shadow Freddy before the idea was retconned could have been death slowly reaching out for the bite victim as it was confirmed originally all the way from fnaf 1-4 was just within the child's dream before it was retconned... Fnaf 1 was the beginning so Shadow Freddy didn't make much appearance, Fnaf 2 he only appeared once as a split second easter egg while on Fnaf 3 he sticked to your office.. and at last in the final game he acted as the main boss aka Nightmare. Once the bite victim got his ending everything was over. ---- Interesting coincidence: Right after the retcon of fnaf 4, Shadow Freddy stopped making any appearance at all towards the lore.

I have a huge theory on the shadow animatronics that is based off your theory and the Golden Freddy theory. So, first of all, we know that Golden Freddy is Cassidy and some people think it's both Cassidy and Evan, the Crying Child. What if remnant not only keeps your soul contained, but if there is more than one soul, it separates the object into an apparition, which explains why Shadow Freddy doesn't attack you in any FNAF games. Shadow Freddy is the Crying Child and he is only half of Golden Freddy's whole self. But...what does The Crying Child have to so with Golden Freddy? Golden Freddy is a withered Fredbear, and Fredbear bit evan's head (The Bite of 83) and killed Evan. I think when 2 souls get trapped into 1 object, the remnant not only combines the souls, but also gives the object a shadowy version, aka, "Dark Remnant". I think Dark Remnant is made when the remnant of an object seperates and splits. This explains why Golden Freddy says "It's Me". Sure, it could be a random easter egg talking to us..but remember, Mike Afton is the security guard for most of FNAF, so when Golden Freddy says "It's Me" Is it Evan or Cassidy? Well, obviously Evan. Shadow Freddy is a Dark Remnant variant of Golden Freddy. But what does this have to so with William you ask? Well, hopefully this doesn't seem complicated: William is the source of the remnant and dark remnant, right? We also know his alter ego is "Purple Guy" and I think this also has something to do with Shadow Freddy. THEIR BOTH PURPLE 😂😂😂😂😂 So, maybe when you create the remnant, it splits your soul like a Harry Potter horcrux, explaining why William "always comes back". So a fragment of william's soul is in Shadow Freddy. I think, since Shadow Freddy is Evan, Evan is fulfilling his dad's wishes. And that's the source of William's soul. The agony, or Dark Remnant, created by Will controls his Son. What evidence to support this ginormous theory half of this comment section probably wants to ignore? Well, Shadow Freddy leads the other animatronics to their demise. Why would he? Well, William's soul is controlling Evan into doing this. Now that I explained this, what about Cassidy? I said he is half of Golden Freddy, so what's his role? Think of Golden Freddy split in half, William's torment and agony, and DARK REMNANT, and the other side his control over it. Shadow Freddy being the control, and G-Freddy being the torment. Almost like how William conttolled Evan as a son and tormented Cassidy. Cassidy has to torment William and Evan must obey. So to summarize this, Golden Freddy and Shadow Freddy are the same thing split in half, Evan obeying William's command as William's soul controls Evan's dark remnant is Shadow Freddy, and Golden Freddy is Cassidy, trying to torment and agonize William. If this theory is wrong, then Shadow Bonnie could be the ghost of William before he learned to control his corpse mentally, explaining why Spring Bonnie showed up before Spring trap. Spoilers for help wanted 2 below btw, but can't really talk about a theory this video just gave me without them so; here's the warning. In help wanted 2 it's revealed that you are infact an employee. If shadow freddy was also an employee who worked with and wants revenge on afton for killing him; it makes you wonder if the game is setting up shadow freddys return for the next game? It would be perfect given he's been absent for a really really long time, so nobody would remember him if they brought him back; giving more reason for theories and lore speculation when newer fans find out he's been around since nearly the beginning. Also given how shadow bonnie hasn't had any development since the AR game besides a Help wanted cameo on a cardboard cut-out (reused for security breach) and the AR game was abandoned by the devs; meaning all the lore there was remade in security breach and help wanted to not be forgotten, it would be interesting if he returned too. Just something that's been on my mind. ^^

Here is my theroy of both shadow freddy and bonnie (and your not going to like it) so shadow freddy and shadow bonnie can't kill you there are other animatronices that can't kill you the phantomes,so my theroy is that the shadows are just hlusinations of toy bonnie and golden freddy.
