What role do US tech giants play in powering Israeli war crimes? | The Bottom Line

After Amazon and Google signed a $1.2bn contract to launch Project Nimbus, providing cloud technology to the Israeli government and the military, tech workers started to notice more Israeli use of artificial intelligence against the Palestinian people.
Many of those engineers have become activists for “No Tech for Genocide”, including Zelda Montes, who was one of the dozens of Google staff who were recently fired for protesting against their company’s involvement with Israel.
Montes and tech entrepreneur Paul Biggar, who founded Tech for Palestine, tell host Steve Clemons why they refuse to build technology used for oppression, surveillance, warfare and apartheid.

It's probably more likely the KZbin comment bug that's been going around, widespread (inc. me) since early Feb. Apparently, they're trying to fix it but I've noticed my comments just don't show if I respond to OP (and thus have no @username). It used to never show, now it does some of the time. I think it's less censorship and more bug, but I could be wrong. I can tell Zelda does not fear looking within for the real answers, the ones that fear doing this and attempt to find it in external places are the ones holding humanity hostage. I had to suffer... immensely... to gain that insight myself, but had to learn how to suffer, not run from myself and facing what is within changed everything... life, perspective of others, myself, really everything. Engineers sometimes forget to think about how their creations will actually be used. In a project I worked on for collecting data from cars, users had to agree to share their data. But the way the project was set up, the system could secretly collect data without users' permission. I was the only one on the team who thought this was a problem. I suspected it was done on purpose so authorities could spy on people. I brought this up in meetings, but nobody else seemed worried about putting a secret way to collect data in the cars we were making.

Let's look at the bigger picture here. This is a very important interview and what we are hearing should be sounding alarm bells everywhere freedom is worshiped and the truth is sacred. What has happened since 7 October in Israel and Gaza and elsewhere in the middle east has shocked the world. The thing is that Gaza as a place for people to live does not seem to answer the need for a homeland for the entire Palestinian people who really have been on the wrong side of history for decades. Why not use this terrible and atrocious war to move the Palestinian people to a newly drawn-out territory in the region where they can live as one people and truly be the masters of their own destiny and not be pawns on a boardgame where others decide how much oil, electricity, water and the like are allotted out on a daily basis? Lastly, where has been any offers of help for the Palestinians caught up in the fighting since 7 October from the Arab Community? According to Senator Bernie Sanders, 34,000 Palestinians have been killed and 78,000 wounded, 70% of whom have been women and children. Why have no neighboring Arab nations offered a temporary safe-haven to these Palestinians? The UN could make this happen in a heartbeat.
