What a guy, what a warrior! Trained at his Round One gym in Horwich for a while until working hours changed, shame he didn't earn the mega money in the sport, a man that twice beat Eubank and the only man to force a stoppage on Eubank deserves it and turned a fight around and put a beat down on Haye forcing his corner so throw the towel in. Carl is one of the most humble people i've ever had the pleasure to meet

I am getting to know Carl. Thompson today and I have watched all his fights today. I think I haven't seen any boxer that will take this much punishment to come back and win fantastically. Even his major loss was an abrupt stoppage looking at his fights. Great cat!

Nobody would want to fight Thompson these days, avoidance is the order of the day with the current lot of divas and he was an absolute nightmare for anyone. I'm amazed he's looking and sounding so good in his late 50's after all the wars he was in. The Rothmann ko was incredible
