What's For Supper? Ribs, Hodgepodge, & Simmered Venison Steak

Today's video includes 3 supper meals. First I make the ribs that I prepped the sauce for yesterday. The recipe came from ‪@MandyintheMaking‬ and they were so good - so tender and juicy. I attempt to make a fish fry, but don't have enough fish so I end up improvising and we have a hodgepodge supper. Lastly, simmered sirloin (venison steak) is my favorite way to make steak in gravy. Everyone likes it and that's always a bonus!!

Simmered Sirloin
Slice steak thinly and quick fry in hot bacon grease in cast iron skillet. Add sliced onions and a heaping teaspoon of minced garlic. Fry a little longer until meat is nicely browned. Add 4 cups well seasoned beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and fresh basil. Bring to a boil, turn down heat to simmer and cover for 1 hour until meat is very tender. Sometimes it doesn't have to go that long. Make a flour/water slurry and slowly add to meat, stirring until it thickens and you have a nice gravy. Taste, add salt and pepper if it needs more. Serve over egg noodles, rice or mashed potatoes.
