After 30 years of pure shortboarding thruster life, this year at age 43 I've converted to twinnies and it's been so fun, I would recommend it to any older shortboarder from the early 90s like me, we've done our time on a little rip stick now it's time to enjoy a little twinnie

The lesson I took from Tom is take the time to wax the board properly, the connection to the board begins there.Looked like a meditation for him.

1978 went from singles to a sky twin fin shaped by Michael cundith Byron bay and what a freakin weapon!!!!!!!!! Speed? Hell yeah! Everyone’s riding singles and I turn up with this twin fin and they’re like wtf? The proof was in the water of how incredible that board was!

Nothing against Mike February but the two time world champion doesn’t need to think about Mike to make a twin work....

Thin rails hide Carroll's power. I love footage of him on those full 1980s rails. Get full thick rails Tommy!

The 2 most valuable things for great surfing are youth and athleticism. What would be more interesting is "where do the demo boards go after these demos"?

After all Mr.Carroll won a controversial pipeline event on the original thruster in the early 80's, with a very controversial call on the very last wave for an earnestly earned spectacular win. It is a surfing video clip that should go down in the annals and archives of surfing history.

BOB SIMMONS..........1967.........
@BobbyJetty15023 жыл бұрын
@@xwhite2020 Absolutely. I think the difference is how he positioned the fins right on the rail at the tail and the outline of the board. When I think of Bob Simmons I think of oversized Paio boards. either way Simmons was an innovator and Lis picked up where Bob left off. have a good Christmas brother, hope you get some good surf.
