This isn't a criticism, more of an observation. I personally think the kitchen/dining area needs some greenery, ie faux plants, especially in the corner by the window where the dining table is. It looks very bare and all a bit colourless. I get the whole neutral/60 shades of grey thing, but I think some greenery, albeit artificial or real, really brings a room some cosiness and finishes it off. There's some gorge pots around for tall plants and beautiful plant stands, the options are endless.

Very well said. I do get jealous sometimes but that's my issue to deal with and I've never left a negative comment for Lydia to read as she is a person and works incredibly hard for what shes a part of. People rarely have the mentality to build up their own lifestyle that they want, they'd rather cut down others with the ambition to do it.

I haven't read through the comments, so apologies if someone already mentioned this. I learned from experience that cats don't like to sleep near their food or litter box, nor do they like to use their litter box near their food... They are very clean and finicky about their surroundings. The constant smell of their food while they snooze throws off their hunger response. I've read this in different areas over the years. Adorable bed, though!! I want to get one for our kitty!

The layout of the old dining room is off, put the sofa where the side board is, put sideboard where the sofa is with 2 large lamps flanking the mirror, put a armchair on the right and left of sofa, the chandalier will make sense since the room now flows. Pull the soft furniture away from the walls. If you have to get out of chair to put a drink down on the cocktail table its too far away, take a piece of wood slightly smaller in size than the trunk and put it on castors raising it a few inches off the floor, making better height for the sofa and you won't stub your toe . Furniture needs negative space around it and makes it nice for conversation. Best ! Show less

honestly, if people think its so easy and not work then they should just do it themselves. if it is so easy then everyone would be an influencers. it is years and years of hard work and talent and consistency to grow and maintain an audience. Plus you have to keep yourself in shape and looking gorgeous and curate your brand and your look so that your followers get the "show" they are expecting and that makes them happy. If these trips were vacations then I'm guessing you would be makeup free and in your jammies most of the time. Who the hell wants to get dolled up every day to go skiing? If its a vacation would you really be putting on foundation and mascara and spend time faffing with your curling iron? And then taking shot after shot after shot to get a great image to share with the world? Seriously, if its so easy they should go do it.

Don’t listen to the hate, Lydia. In short, people are idiots. Your home is really coming together & I love the level of love & effort to you put in to every single minute detail. It’s clear how much you care and it is proved in the result. Even though, I must admit, I do find myself laughing at how roundabout you find your way to completion. I do the same in my own home so it’s both refreshing & relieving to know I’m not alone in the constant labor of love that is styling a home. The struggle is real.
