As a Muslim, I am praying for the innocent civilians in both Palestine and Israel. I can't believe that in the 21st century, people are still fighting like pagans instead of resolving their conflicts by talking and finding a middle ground. We haven't learned anything from history..At the end of the day, the only people suffering will be the innocent kids and widows who had nothing to do with the politics and the power games of the politicians...There are no winners in wars.. The UN should sit together and find a solution for the conflict between Israel and Palestine.

The area was called Palestine. The British promised the area to the jews. The Muslims and Christian palestinians had been living together in peace prior to this. The jews were slowly moved over to Israel, especially after many had lost their homes due to Hitler trying to wipe them out. When these jews became large in number, they made their intentions clear. They saw it as their holy land promised to them, in the religious scriptures, so they killed as many palestinians as they could and renamed it Israel. Unfortunately, you don't get justification to blame British people of today for the issues that their past generations caused. So, if you'd allow me, I would like to create the distinction there. If we acknowledged that people and societies can change over time, we could open up many more opportunities to resolve matters that earlier generations could not. Blaming it on a generation gone when we could pass feasible change demonstrates a lack of awareness that they no longer hold the major influence on the matter, and thus the mistakes of today are no longer theirs, but ours.
