I think you're referring to the low contrast between her hair and skin. Her skin is medium contrast though. It can handle some medium intensity colors because of its luminosity. She doesn't need much value contrast though. She probably looks really good in monochromatic outfits though. Her being a soft dramatic would push the need for long unbroken lines too.

Can you explain more about how you chose ethereal for this woman? Is it primarily because of her contrast level?

I just realised that I am not sure why your system of coloration is linear (from cool and bright over neutral to warm and bright) instead of circular. It makes sense to me that people in between cool and warm with a delicate complexion can be neutral or close to it. But why is not possible then for people with a very bright coloration to have so much yellow and so much rosiness to their skin that these too would cancel out to a neutral, just a "bright neutral" so to speak. It is possible for the delicate colouration to achieve this cancelling out effect. Why not for the bright one? I'd be interested to learn your take on this.

Why in your color system you only incorporate hue and chroma, and disregard value? Like warm (hue) and delicate (chroma) but no light, medium or dark (value), it matters because some people lean or gravitate towards either light or medium or dark, like everybody has specific tolerance of the depth of the colors.

I always take into account value for my clients, and I believe I touched on it in this video as well. I just don't tend to discuss it in depth in my videos.

​@@merriamstyle Fair enough, you mentioned lighter colors for her at 6:57 either you meant in coloration or her essence, but what I meant is why the value is not analyzed from the first screening along with her "warm and delicate"? since the coloration is the first to analyze and also the lightness of her coloration is very dominant that that is the first thing you will notice from her before the chroma and then the hue, like why not "warm, delicate and light" instead of just "warm and delicate"?.

Yes But I don't agree with Merriam on this client looking tall. Merriam never said what her height was, to me she looks moderate to short in my opinion (I'm sharp and soft and active in the Kibbe space), so she should fall into other types. Imo I don't see vertical. Also these photos are not the best for giving people Image IDs because we don't have a straight up and down photo from here in tight clothing except the last photo, I'm thinking maybe soft classic. For color type I'm seeing true summer. Active in the color analysis space and a spring myself.

I agree you make some excellent points here. I'm still not 100% sure of my body type but I'm definitely a romantic, either Pure Romantic or Theatrical Romantic. I also get people mistakingly thinking I'm tall, and I look tall in photos despite being only 5"3. So that is why I'm thinking there could be a possibility that I'm a soft dramatic, taller with curves. I would love an analysis :)

I think it's some sort of spring, warm or bright :) I consider myself to be warm and radiant, from Merriams system that resonate most with me, also spring from the other system​@@kathystclair9485
