Most people who make art don't think of themselves as artists - I definitely struggle with the idea - but you do creative things, and you share them with the world. That makes you an artist, whether you consider yourself one or not.

We have a Go Gopher who lives in our house too! I'm obsessed with the acrylic yarn and wire moulding, that's so cool and I'm already thinking of how I could use it in costuming

Really enjoyed your video and thanks for sharing what you got up to - very interesting. You need to knit a sweater with ‘I love punchcards 😃’ on it!

That looks like you've had a hugely exciting week. Artistic process is not dissimilar to scientific process. You start with a question eg What if I do... . Some artists are very methodical and work through permutations to see what happens. Others are more intuitive and selective about the permutations they explore. And when a bunch of outcomes have been made you can sit back and compare and decide if they are successful and for what reason. To a non-artist, art is about outputs. To an artist, art is about the process. You are already on the way.

As a person exploring making art, your penultimate sentence fits me so well that I feel seen and might even think of myself as an artist, which has been difficult.

@@mattsadventureswithart5764 Part of the problem is created by the western definition of art which often excludes crafty objects, particularly if they are useful. Many other cultures don't have this division. Anything can be useful and beautiful. If you intend it to be art-filled then it is.

That looks so cool. I love the acrylic yarn and wire hit with the heat gun. I wonder if you need the wire? What would happen without it?

Had no idea that the Go mascot was designed by the same person who designed Glynda. That's cool!
