I’m about to have my third and I have already bought my sheet mask and eye mask 😂 after feeling like absolute crap for dang near a year I enjoy putting in extra effort as soon as I feel comfortable to, to feel like my old self again 😅

I love the castille soap! I'm going to use it for my baby's bath soap and I also use it to wash my hair. I've been shampoo free for over a year and started using the castille soap and it has been life changing. My hair is so thick and healthy now... It never gets greasy and I dont have dandruff anymore! All I’ve pack was clothes to go home in for me, n shower stuff. Baby wise was a couple outfits for baby, burp clothe, n a few blankets. As most hospitals give you everything u need plus you’ll have a lot given to you by the hospital.

Just got home yesterday. Wish I would have had a little hand held mirror to use to put on makeup while laying on the bed. Got tired after showering and didn’t want to stand there to do makeup. Also I have a cell phone battery charger that you can plug your phone into anywhere. It was really nice to just plug it in there and not have to hunt down a wall socket or have a cord running awkwardly across the room. Lastly, wish I would have had the deodorant body wipes because even after a shower, I was sweating a lot from the hormones. Wishing you the best!

I am going to assume you are probably delivery near where you live. But idk if I told you but I am a postpartum nurse at a hospital here in the tricounty area. So if you have an questions after you deliver and you get home feel free to contact me. I know a lot of OBGYNs and Peds in the area are now sending patients home at 24 hrs old as long as everyone is doing well. So check with your doctor and you pediatrician and see if that's an option for you. I was so glad when I was able to be home in my own bed. Can't wait to see all your baby updates and delivery!!

Great video! I love that you pack several options to choose from with your clothing. I feel the same as you said, feeling somehow put together after birth is life! After the birth of my first I felt like such a slob, so now I ordered myself some comfy but nice looking pyjamas in which I can nurse easily. I'm 33 weeks pregnant right now. I'm also packing LED candles and calming music (with a small speaker) to create a more peaceful atmosphere in the hospital during labor. That really helped me the first time! I want to make an eo roller too to keep me calm there, would you mind sharing what's in yours?

Interesting video dont forget to pack a cream that you can use incase your baby gets rash as some newborns can develop some rash just a tip thats the one thing my sister didnt remember to pack when she had her kids and she regreted it. Good luck with labour hope all goes well.

That's a lot stuff to take... Here my list: 1: extra pair of loose clothes for going home in. 2: baby's coming home outfit. 3: phone charger 4: brush and hair clips/ ties 5: body wipes (I don't take showers at the hospital because I don't trust how clean they may be) 6: an iPad, book or somethig to entertain yourself for a while. 7: toothbrush and toothpaste You're not there for days ladies (normally) unless you have surgery or something more serious happens.

That's a great list for you, everyone has different needs and hospitals are not the nicest places in the world so it's totally valid to bring some home comforts. I know I wasn't expecting to be in the hospital for 3 1/2 weeks and my poor husband had to keep bringing me things. By the end I had 4 grocery bags of stuff and it was a pain for my husband to locate the items I was talking about. I wish I had been more prepared! Also even if I was only there for 24 hours I for sure would have wanted my own blanket and pillow, the hospital stuff is not great.

You spend 48 hours in the hospital minimum starting the moment baby is born. Some women need more than others in that time.

A normal stay is 48 hours with no complications for A lot of people not to mention the 1 to 2 days you're there in labor.

I've never been in labor more than 10 hours. And I spent it at home. No need to go to the hospital right away unless you are high risk. I wasn't. I had a healthy pregnancy labor and delivery with no complications. I spent most of my labor at home until the contraction were very strong then I went to he hospital and had my baby within 2 hours. Then 24 hours later I was discharged once the baby's tests were done with like hearing and making sure the baby didn't have jaundice etc. I don't like staying in hospitals, you are more susceptible to getting sick there from prolonged stays. I wanted d ahome birth but that didn't work out. So I agree that it's different for everyone but I don't understand why some women WANT to stay at the hospital. I was ready to go home once I gave birth haha. But that's just me. Dr did her job delivering my babies and I was out of there! Make room for someone else who needs it you know.

Sa H when they asked me to change into a hospital gown I said I have my own can I wear it? And they didn’t even hesitate and said yes. I wore it all through labor and delivery 😊

I didn't pack anything. I took a shower before I went to go have my kids and just wore the hospital gown and then I just took a shower at the hospital before I left and put the same clothes back on. All I took was my phone and a charger

Andrea Rich yes! And thank goodness they did because nothing we had bought would’ve fit her. I had an emergency c section due to pre eclampsia. Even preemie sizes were too big, but the hospital had some little white shirts and pants that worked for her.

You definitely won't use all the clothes you're taking. The blush pink pants are probably not a good idea with all the blood you'll be loosing. It'd be more noticeable if you bled through. I've had 3 babies vaginally and all I used was leggings and t shirts for clothes. Enough for after i had baby and the day after/going home day. Socks are a necessity. Did you make sure your hospital supplies wipes? Some dont, mine didn't. They also didn't supply pacifiers. All baby needs is photo outfit and going home outfit. Sometimes they don't like for you to dress baby since they'll be doing vitals and tests the whole time. Onsies are easiest in the hospital.

Savanna Southern also people forget that they can use a small pull suitcase on wheels as the hospital bag. Remember that your husband or the nurse will be the person dragging or holding your stuff , so let’s try to lessen the cumbersomeness

I’m a little late on this but why is everyone criticizing her. This is her video for what SHE used and what made her feel most comfortable. It’s her birth experience. If she can afford the things she’s packing why should she skimp out to make someone else feel better. This is what SHE wanted and used. That’s great if you didn’t have to use so much or spend so much, but it truly doesn’t matter. It’s to each individuals preference. I hope she had a great experience and was EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE AND COMFORTED by her choices. No one said anyone had to go out and buy the exact things she bought, just get an idea of what you’ll want and work with what you have.
