I know its hard to see your channel not looking like other big channels. But just know that what you do for the people that watch your channel is what matters. The fact that they benefit off of what you do for them is the goal. Thats your achievement; helping those in need and giving them the information they need. So with all that said, thank you for everything you've done for us. Thank you

My 8 year old (TYSA Triumph U9 Academy) and I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. We want you to come play for Atlanta United so we can see you play live. He has a dream of being a Pro Soccer player and your videos have been awesome as a training guide for him and a window into what it really takes. They also inspire us both! You are a great example and role model for him and I truly appreciate everything you do. Keep making it happen, keep at it like you do Soccer, it'll happen. I've been telling the Dads in our club all about you and your channel as well. Just be YOU, because YOU rock Matt!!!! Background: My son Cole, his teammates Israel and Sam have been playing together since their Spring season of U6 Rec, with Sam's Dad as Head Coach and Israel's Dad as Assistant ( and me as Assistant Assistant LOL). We've also added a few others teammates along the way, with two still with us, but those guys are the original "Fire Eagles". In Rec they dominated through U8 with multiple undefeated season and each going to All Stars every season. The Fire Eagles were feared and often beat Academy Teams. We have a very special group of players and parents in our club. We are so fortunate. Over the past year, Cole has grown more than the other boys in terms of widening and putting on weight. He is strong and skilled, but has lost some speed and coordination in the process. With the switch to Academy, It's been hard for Cole to suddenly not be as dominate as he was in the past. It's been difficult for him having to play on the Green Team instead of starting on the Gold with his buddies. I know it bothers him but, he keeps a great attitude and a smile on his face. He wants to win this challenge as bad as he wants to win games. Your videos and your story is keeping him going towards his goals and loving the game Matt. Your dedication is an inspiration to him, your training and skills advice is helping him get better at the game, and in better shape while his body catches up to his skill level. We have a playlist called "Soccer" and Become Elite is a big part of his video studies of the game. He looks forward to your videos everyday, and doesn't care whether it's your best or your worst video ever. Just that you are there and that you guys are doing it together. So just remember all this on these kind of days. You're reaching the right people, and they'll tell the right people, and the numbers will come because what you are doing is right and is helping many people already. Cole and I think you are awesome, we are big fans, and we are pulling for you everyday. We know you're going to make it and we hope to meet you one day, shake your hand, and say thanks in person. Much Love and God Bless! Cole and Kevin

Hi Matt, How did you manage to get a 3.74 GPA and train by yourself extra, and go to team trainings in High school. Did you take many AP courses? How did you balance school while doing everything necessary for soccer?
@rayecheng226 жыл бұрын
Audacious Soccer Hey! I know I’m not Matt but I just graduated high school with a 4.37 GPA and Matt’s helped me a lot through the Elite Challenge. When it comes down to it, it’s just all about getting work done and not procrastinating. Never waste a second of your time. For me, I didn’t have social media throughout high school cuz I believed it distracted me from my own work. Not only that, but every lunch, I was in a classroom asking questions or finishing homework so after school I could practice and train. Hope that helps! If you have more questions, you can DM me @rayecheng22
@hunter123grimm6 жыл бұрын
Raye Cheng I have to agree with you. I have a 4.2, and I work 30 hours a week and I’m on a club team which takes a lot of time.. just stay busy everyday and plan out your days beforehand to make sure you get everything done. And don’t get behind because you can easily get overwhelmed but if you just stay on top of everything then you will be golden. You will also learn life lessons along the way like not to procrastinate and how to manage your time well.

Those that dont see these videos miss out on the opportunity to better themselves consistently. Not to take anything away from other videos but the content you put out makes this a one of a kind channel. You got channels like SimplySoccer OnlineSoccerAcademy FourFourTwo ProgressiveSoccer CoachJavi But you go a step ahead by going over everything you do. Not many channels do that.

As a defender, what are your thoughts on slidetackling? It seems some players are more inclined to slide than others.
@adamchani6 жыл бұрын
I belive that it just depends on the game situation good luck!
@joegresh6 жыл бұрын
You should do it, but only as a last resort, as it can be easy to beat you if the attacker knows what you are going to do.

Andy Montalbano im a RWB and I love slide tackling but I only do it when it’s necessary because it is pretty risky
@fentonright82196 жыл бұрын
You find that at an amateur level defenders will slide when their positioning isn't great. I play mainly as a central midfielder at a decent amateur level and my defenders will dive into tackles when they're frustrated, beaten or when they're 5 or six steps off of the pace of the game. That being said, actually executing a well timed slide can make you a 10 times better defender and will make attackers think more of how they can beat you if they know that you're able to get the better of them even when your positioning isn't fantastic
