Compression socks are great to keep your blood from clotting and giving you DVT (deep vein thrombosis) or blood clot which can form from being in small cramped spaces like sitting in airplane or bus/car where you can't get up and get ,moving to get circulation to prevent clotting. Like if you are hospitalized for any number of days, they have wrapable velcroed pieces that you put on and are connected to the hospital bed and electronically inflate and deflate squeezing your legs to keep circulation and prevent blood clots since you usually arent moving when hospitalized.

Evening guys. Loving the lockdown updates and the where we are attitude. I’ve been thinking on ideas for content that doesn’t involve travelling. You have been travelling for some times and have so much historic content, maybe you can use that to punctuate a video series ‘top tens’. Top ten nightmare journeys, top ten best experiences, top ten fave beaches or view, top ten best food experiences, top ten worst things you’ve eaten, top ten modes of transport, top ten places you stayed and so on. Not only will it be fun for you both to revisit memories but it will add a different dimension to your content. Another idea might be a compilation video 1 video recapping your exploits in a country, with a commentary over the top/filmed to one side - “oh! Do you remember that, or this?” “Remember when we nearly...?” It will help newer subscribers view old content and provide new content. I’ve also always wondered how your families view your lifestyle? We heard of Alison travelling back for bachelorette parties etc. But what about parents, siblings, friends nieces etc. What is the emotional cost and is it worth it? Just some ideas a fan thought up - keep going and stay safe

I LOVE learning new travel hacks! I have definitely tried a few different packing methods during my travels. Much like Eric and Allison, I'm more of a folder while my husband is more of a roller when it comes to our packing clothes preferences! One of my go-to travel tips is that I always pack a change of clothes in my backpack. While I almost never check luggage, I like having a change of clothes and my toiletries bag handy so that I can easily change/freshen up in the nearest bathroom. I'm the kind of traveler that I like to get up and go as soon as I arrive to a new place, but I'm always better at it if I feel like I have cleaned up a bit! I also always wear my glasses to the airport now (my contacts just get too dry while flying) and have discovered that gummy bears make for the best remedy for airplane ear-popping!

I feel so anxious about your drone being above the wheels in the suitcase. I always try avoid delicate or breakables near the wheels in case go over bumpy road and damages something. I'm guessing Alison just packs sports bras as easier to pack? I would be curious what your toiletries are, I always pack too much. I got a mini straightener recently for travel and saves so much space.

Allison should look at the 'Pacsafe Citysafe CX Anti-Theft Backpack' - very similar style to what you're carrying but has the suitcase strap on the back 🙌🏻

Looked at that. Looks half the size of hers. I'd go with the Pacsafe bag myself but looks like she carries a lot more stuff around (I'm v minimalist these days - a lot of the time it's just me and my phone wallet; altho back in the day I can remember it was just me and my camera case if only out half the day)

Great video! Just be warned folks, I had the exact same Bigger Carry-On from Away, and when in Europe more than half the flights I took on budget airlines like Ryan, Easyjet, and Aegean would not let you carry these on. Had to pay to check them every time. I REALLY would suggest if you are traveling on a budget and are traveling on the more budget-focused airlines, you might want to consider something like the Osprey 40L hiking backpack. Sure, it is not ideal if you don't want a backpack; but I swear, I have NEVER had to check that thing. Thanks to Endless Adventure for their dedication and amazing content!

Allison: the BEST SANDALS for travel are Salt Water Sandals - you can wash them and they are so pretty & hold up well. They look like they’ll give you blisters, but they don’t. They are super soft once you get them in. Best sandal investment ever!!

Hard suitcases are an essential if one has seen the way baggage handlers chuck them about, they will often fall off baggage trucks on the way to the plane when the hold is loose loaded. Always ensure fragile items are surrounded by clothes as padding.
@BucketListTravellers3 жыл бұрын
Interesting seeing how your packing has evolved over time. As a former glasses/contacts wearer, I'd recommend getting laser eye surgery. It frees up the space that the eye related stuff takes up in your bag, frees up time with fiddling around with contacts and most importantly makes adventure activities a lot easier.

If you look back towards the beginning of the channel's youtube videos - you can do this by asking youtube to sort videos by oldest first - they do have some great videos from around the time they started out traveling (eg those around kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJ3Clp5-rrd6rsU ) - packing up and selling everything from their apartment and moving the remaining stuff cross-country into storage before beginning their endless adventure. There are some surprises in those videos too eg at the start of the channel Eric and Allison were vegetarian.

After 120 countries since 1985, countless trips on airplanes, boats, bikes, trikes, camels and more recently grab I have some input. You have less stuff than many people I see traveling but way more than I personally carry. My 25 litre pack and all contents weigh 12 pounds (5.4 kg). This is enough stuff to travel indefinitely. For a winter trip to Iceland (not the greatest time to visit!) I added a winter coat, and long johns. The trick is to hand wash clothes, roll in a towel to pre dry and hang up. Most people have way too many clothes. The advantages of traveling light really standout in more remote destinations, boarding buses, taxis, motos, dug out canoes with everything you have, keeps your stuff safe from pilfering. My splurge: I take 2 cell phones, 2 sunglasses, 2 hats (bald) and sony noise cancelling headphones- life saver-. I did start out in 1985 carrying a ridiculous pack, tent, army surplus down sleeping bag, a dozen books, must have weighed over 20kg. Within a few months I downsized to a small gym bag, and never looked back. Safe travels everyone.

You can’t travel right now and still you manage to make my favorite travel vlogs. I’ve gathered a number of travel supplies from your recommendations including Away luggage, the Velcro reuse-able ties, and the foam filled cases that I eventually removed the foam from as well. So now here’s what I want now...in addition to branded compressions socks and poncho that is 😉 I want you guys to make an Endless Adventure cloth patch to sew on my travel bag. Would you get on that!? Alison, I’m always so impressed by how you manage your clothing. Even though I recognize your clothing from vlog to vlog you always put outfits together in a way that look fresh and so pretty. Okay, so get on that logo patch!

1. Yes! Make compression socks, they are the best. Why just black? they could be rainbow! 2. I bet you could sew a suitcase strap into the bag by hand easily. You can sew into the seam with a piece of leather or an elastic band- all easy to get from joannes. Might want to use the big, curved, leather grade needle. But honestly just a few stitches and you are in business :) as a plus you’ll know how to fix it if it breaks too!

I have a black pair and a tan pear , both toeless in case I’m wearing sandals. Most of my trips are from CA to the East Coast and with layovers it’s usually a 10 hour day and my 62 year old legs swell up. With compression socks, my legs feel so lightweight!

If you are looking for a new tech case I have found ones from the company BUBM make some good ones. You can find their products from many different sites including amazon I think. Their larger cases are great for organising bigger stuff. I totally agree about bigger headphones can be better. I used to just use ones that I stuck in my ear but after a while it used to hurt. I got some BOSE headphones and they are soooo much better and more comfortable.
