What's inside an Öhlins Shock?

Just what the bloody hell is inside an Öhlins shock? Recall work was due on BvG's TTX anyway, so we decided to take the cameras down to James at JHS Racing and film it being stripped to its bare bones - something you don’t normally get to see. Not sure how many more innuendoes could make the cut…

Simply loved this session. The way you guys had presented it, makes it so enjoyable, informative and I wasn't bored one bit. Most session videos are boring and monotonous. Look forward to watch more such videos and learn. Also, appreciate the gentleman demonstrating the whole process, I'm guessing he's the owner of the garage. I find him so ethical to his profession, when he stated, for a average rider, it'd be sufficient to service it once in two years. Most out there, would try to fleece you, against guys like him, who are passionate about their profession. I was in England for 3 years and I wish, I had a Guru like him. I'd have loved to work for him, without getting paid, just so I could learn so much. Again, hats off to you guys, please shoot more such videos.

It's nice to watch guys from other countries do their thing..I just had my ohlins shocks serviced and the dude was so uptight,I worried a bit,but all was good and $700 later I had 6 shocks serviced! For racecar, not motorcycle..but still ohlins shocks! Great stuff!

This is exactly why I don't work on my own suspension. Need way too many specialty tools if you want to do the job right. Changed the fork seal before on my 2002 GSXR750, and what a pain in the ass. Had to make up all this special shit, and still couldn't do the job 100% correctly. Anywhoo, thanks for the vid! Funny and informative

As a trauma nurse for 16 years whenever a trauma comes in to the trauma bay one of the first procedures done is doing a rectal exam to see if there’s any blood in the bottom which would be a sign of an internal injury where one could bleed out in less than a minute another Procedure done is a fast scan of the abdomen it’s kind of a quick general ultra sound to see if there is any internal bleeding from any of the organs which wouldn’t be seen initially and could be a slow bleed from a vital organ or a slow bleed that turns into a quick bleed with movement so hope You enjoyed the moment. That’s the problem with doctors they don’t communicate well if he told you what he was doing and for what reason it probably would’ve been a more welcoming experience
