Hiya, I think the pink flowers in the field are clary sage (Salvia sclarea), or la sauge sclarée in French. This would also fit with it being grown near lavender - it's used in perfumes too.

The Lavender fields reminds me of some of our van trips across America. We belong to an organization called Harvest Host, it's a membership program that provides access to a network of wineries, farms, breweries, museums, and other unique attractions that invite self-contained RVer's to visit and stay overnight. Just recently a lot of golf courses are letting Harvest Host members camp in their parking lots. The yearly membership is $99 and that is a bargain considering what you would pay for a camp ground site for one night......

The look of excitement and mild panic in your face when the lightning was making ground around you was very relatable. Ame your pan is the perfect size for flipping eggs without a spatula. Step 1 practice with a piece of bread first by placing it in the pan and use your wrist to toss the bread over to its other side. Step 2 keep doing this until you no longer tear the bread up and it is landing smoothly and soft as possible. Step 3 your ready for an egg. It really is easy! PS just make sure there's enough oil or butter in the pan that the eggs will slide around and aren't stuck to the pan. Oh and start with 1 egg then move up to 2 then 3 then 4. You got this.
