Does it have autonomous driving that could be paired to the crew so they could have the vehicle come to them by itself. What is the range with bulletproof glass? Does it have adjustable tire pressure like a humvee? What about drone counter protection and drone release of its own? No position for a 50 cal.?

I think its meant to be a lighter vehicle, mainly for troop transport and scouting. Probably doesn't have armor so that you can go faster, although maybe you can strap some on. They are looking at putting a tethered drone on. I imagine the truck bed itself can probably take a mounted weapon system like a .50 cal, grenade launcher, and, eventually, counter drone tech when it's made small enough and light enough to fit.

The diesel-electric drivetrain desperately needs to become mainstream. The electric can handle the milk runs, which if we are being honest is most trips, but you don't have to sacrifice the ability to do serious towing and road trips. And of course in the military context, the ability to zip around electrically has tactical advantages of its own. It might not be practical to integrate into smaller chassis, but the effect can still be accomplished with a trailer.
@brianb-p658627 күн бұрын
The diesel-electric hybrid is too expensive compared to a conventional powertrain. And under the emissions regulations which apply to civilian vehicles, the engine in his truck probably wouldn't even be allowed.

Curious as to how it will handle water fording after it has potentially been shot. There are current electric cars with holes in the battery area that didn't fare well during the recent hurricanes and flooding. The hybrid is definitely better than fully electric. The silent motor is a stealth plus. However the added battery and armored-up weight will be factor for airlift capabilities.
