its a great daily. enough power for fun, reliable, manual, and has ample room. i take my car everywhere. mountains, streets, and soon the track. all ive done so far is wheels & tires, exhaust, and soon lowering springs and possible aero.

I would say don’t complain about road noise on a car that Honda built to basically be a track weapon, also 90% of cars would sound loud as hell at almost 100mph.
@MrFayomari6 ай бұрын
Great video. I’ve had mine for 2 months. The road noise is actually not that bad, it’ cuts through air smoothly. You’ve filmed the road noise while going 100mph, any car would make noise at that speed.

Glad to hear you are doing well my friend. If i had the funds to get one of these right now, I would be hard set on a red one. Absolutely stunning. Keep up the content, i look forward to seeing more of your ownership experience. I picked up a FL2 with the 6 Speed manual and have quite a few issues with it. The FL5 's just have a higher level of build quality and QC coming direct from japan, definitely jealous of that! Actually heading back to the dealer tomorrow once again as my hatchback has been leaking water inside for almost a year now, no fix yet. Stay well!

I heard some guys are getting 340/350 miles to the gallon when you take in on an open road experience. The noise from the wheels we must just live with because it's a sports car at the end of the day.

Looking to upgrade from a 6MT corolla to either a GR Corolla or this… I really love the sportback design on the CTR and ITS. Not the biggest fan of the “smushed”, true hatchback design of the R and GR. Also annoyed that you guys are still getting 24 all the way up to sometimes low 30’s in average MPGs. I’m getting an average of 32 on a non performance variant! Trying to get an early pay off and trade it in for one of these cars so I can have it forever. Would love to get red or SG on the CTR and red or dark grey on the GRC. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Funny that you merntion the Lane Keep Assist, because that's the one thing in the car that I had to turn off, it was annoying me so much. To Honda's credit, however, they allow us to turn it off without hitting us with an obnoxious yellow warning light in the gauges, the way my ND2 Miata did it. Hated that. Love that the FL5 lets me shut it off without any penalties.

I’m glad you mentioned the NVH and vibration this car has. I have a 22 year old S2000 that doesn’t vibrate like this car does lol. I expected it with even Honda saying it’s going to vibrate due to the unbalanced engine. But it almost makes you feel like something is wrong with the car sometimes. I hate the subtle steering wheel vibration I get when initially accelerating in 1st gear from a stop light. It’s the only thing I don’t like about the car. Aside from that it’s incredible

Given that you're a veteran with Type R's, I'd be interested in you test driving and sharing your thoughts on the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N. As far as your channel goes, new 5 N content could really mix things up. (As opposed to you getting a second FL5, you could often compare the two brands.)

Lane keep assist was the first thing I turned off at less then 50 miles. After I tried to avoid a pot hole and the car pulled me back into it. Auto braking I left on but I've had issues with that too. Once driving down the road I crossed the double yellow to avoid a kid on a scooter in my lane. Car didn't like it. Slammed on the brakes for me and I was almost rear ended in the process.

I own this too and spot on about the wireless charger…useless. As far as the infotainment system I have never had one glitch or issue with it although a lot of people do. The coolant expansion tank is crap and very prone to fail so I would consider an aftermarket option. I know this from experience.

I just got my CTR FL5. I’m trying to figure out if anyone has an issue with a window opening up. My driver side window opens fine but makes a really loud noise I think it gets stuck and pulls on the window seal on the inside. Another thing is I hear a sort of a light grind or metal on metal slight noise I believe comes from the transmission. Another noise that seems like it’s an exhaust leak and also a ringing noise from under the hood l. Now idk maybe I am paranoid or just not use to noises like this but going to take it to the dealer and find out what is normal and what’s not by comparing to the one on the floor or maybe I can find someone nearby on the forums to compare

Interested in why you sold Fk8, since you had overheating problems which was the rational for buying Camero, since you say it does not overheat. But the fuel mileage with Camero is abismal was it the mileage that drove you repeating purhas of type R?

Hay mate' im thinking of changing my fk8 to the fl5'' Interesting your fk8 didn't have all the tech' in Australia the fk8 came standard with honda sense and its illegal to charge more than the manufacturers price for a new car' so Australia is was one of the best countries to buy this type of car' not so for anything like a m2 and above though with our luxury car tax.
