For me this is a wonder drug....the withdrawal was uncomfortable but not unbearable and not nearly as bad as alcohol withdrawal. If you approach this herb as a potent medicine and cycle off once a month you should be fine. It absolutely gave me my life back and gave me a quality life back, not just an existence.

Good to know there's some detailed anecdotal stuff in the comments. I have broken a bunch of bones motorcross riding; and now that I'm in my mid 40's it's time to pay the piper. Titanium in my left leg and a reconstructed ankle, I didn't want to go back to Norco. I did taper off those via a physician about 8 years ago. And that did suck. I work in the trades, and was looking for something to help on days where going up and down a ladder all day with bags on kicks the shit out of me. I will try the tapering and on/off method.

@@SolutionsWithineven low doses greatly dehydrate the body and cause brain fog after you’ve used for a number of months without a break. It’s powerful stuff and not fully understood. Some people use the stuff indefinitely without too many issues and others lose all of their hair and face adrenal fatigue. If you don’t mind being dependent on something and the logistical and spiritual implications of that, give it a shot..

if you dont go poop 5 times a day atleast while taking kratom you have to cycle off because it gets stuck in your liver and your liver cannot function normally with all the sludge there @@SolutionsWithin

I have tried both kratom and suboxone to keep away from hard opiates. I live in Alabama, where possession of kratom is a felony, about 25 miles from the Georgia line. I'd rather take the risk & travel 50 miles round trip than ever go back to the suboxone clinic. That should tell you enough!

Coming off kratom was everybit as painful as weaker pain pills like norco/ percocet. I use kratom like a maintenance drug, I feel my life is smoother with my opioid receptors being tickled.

I’ve had SEVERE neck pain for a long time,and I was prescribed OxyContin,and have been on it ever since my injury. I’m a recovering alcoholic,and I wanted to get off the Oxy. Preach it brother! Kratom has helped me for 4 years now. I'm looking into making my own kratom tincture at the moment. Thank you for this video I appreciate it. I have found withdrawal symptoms in using kratom as well. But I have found that it is easy, at least for me, too wean myself off of it if necessary. Good to hear youve made progress! I was prescribed prozac, but refused to take it since the aide effects are worse, especially when you get off them. Im not depressed, but have a lot of anxiety, especially when coming off pills. Kratom helped me through withdrawals and controlling my mood, but i hated swallowing up to 10 capsules daily, so i just stopped, but it does work for someone looking for a remedy from opiates. Nothing should be stopped cold turkey, as it shocks your system, but even then kratom withdrawals are no where near the hell actual opiate withdrawal is..best to just taper off..

I've never measured so I really don't know how much I'm taking. I just use a half empty water bottle and pour and mix till I feel it's good enough. Keeps you from building a tolerance on it imo. Ex drug user here. It works. Even when not measured.

Man go ahead and try it it's cool. I only use the green Kratom(30 capsules) myself but when I do the worst I possibly get is maybe some nausea and throwing up but that's just from your body trying to break down the plant matter. Kratom is pretty forgiving for new users so it's not really going to hurt you. Also to battle the nausea and keep from throwing up I'll take like physician's Choice digestive enzymes from Walmart, and a couple sips of Bragg's raw unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar from Walmart also. Basically it kinda feels like morphine, but way safer😂. I personally only take it about 1-2 times a week, maby skip some weeks, and just do a cannabis gummy edible. I do want to try the Red, to test the uplifting energy vs the sedated feel good calm.

It’s definitely not addictive like opiates. A lot of people online are talking about how bad the withdrawals are and maybe it’s bad for some people but in my experience I can still go to work and function when detoxing from kratom. Kilos of high quality stuff are only $100 at the most so even if someone is addicted it’s not like people need to start stealing to support their habit like opiates.

late comment, i dont mean to assume but thats probably because you werent born with an addictive personality/ havent been addicted to drugs. some people can take substances andh ave no problem at all like you ( which is what im guessing ), and for recovering addicts its way harder due to the psychiological changes and the previous dependencies that causes that.

Doseage makes a difference. Based on my own tolerance, if I take a lower dose of Red, I get energized, but If i take a high dose, it has more of the opiate effect. Green does the same thing for me.

Xanax is the worst withdrawal I've ever had going through the process of being incarcerated before you see the doctors . Took me 4 days by the time I got my first dose of Xanax . It relieves your body aches and pain.

Benzos are a horrible withdrawal or taper. I took Klonopin for 6 years for a neurological condition . Wanted off due to the side effects and it took almost a year slowly tapering off and still had side effects

I only use it occasionally but green was dramatically more effective for me as well. Clear head and positive energy feeling. Red felt a little bit more like having “ one glass of wine” or some thing in terms of being slightly confused and just slightly relaxed, but definitely not energetic or happy.

I was a on and off again addict of opiates and I can truly say that kratom saved my life. I was doing at my worst 14 g of kratom two times a day.. and I tapered off a gram a week until I was down to none. And it worked! I didn't really have any withdrawals from kratom and if there were withdrawals they were very similar to mild opiate withdrawal which I was used to. The kratom cut out about 80% of my withdrawal I was still wasn't amazing but I was functional. I'm just the other side of the story I guess I love kratom. I'm a huge advocate for it.

I tried it for a couple of months. For my chronic aches and pains, I was probably going through stress or something hormonal. Helped so much. Taking more than a teaspoon then it makes you sleepy. Worked for few hours like one or two but it’s still good. Not addicting to me, I even forgot about it once my body was getting more sleep and over all better with stress. I’m glad it’s there whenever I get body aches from over doing things since some times I tend to over do it when it cleaning my house.

All addictions aren’t equal. Trading One addiction for a less harmful addiction is good. Not being addicted to anything is ideal but we don’t live in an ideal world and some people need crutches and it’s good to give them the best crutches we can find. If you’re completely sober then hey that’s great, Some people consider being sober from really debilitating drugs like fentanyl heroin and meth being sober even if they use cannabis or Kratom to of gotten off them and they should be encouraged because if it was easy to get off hard drugs with Kratom or cannabis then there wouldn’t be all these opioid deaths. Yes people trade addictions sometimes but that’s okay to do and it’s good to do if you’re healthier from it and so who really cares if the end results are better. They are sober compared to how they used to be, Good job for them. And you can walk away knowing you’re technically right with your point, good job 👍🏻

I’ve been in the Kratom community since 2016 and a lot of people do use it for that, specifically red strains. I’d talk to your doctor first though, or someone who’s been through it. I just use it for pain for endometriosis and it helps me stay off of pain meds. It’s a life saver

​@@amy109I had endometriosis SEVERE for decades. I was diagnosed at 16. My 2nd surgery at 19 was 6 hours long. It's a miracle I had 2 children I got pregnant with both of them shortly after endometriosis surgeries. I finally had a hysterectomy and it helped a ton. But I was diagnosed way way back. They put me on Danezol. They don't even use that anymore because the side effects are so bad. My Doctor said I was the youngest patient she ever had and said I had worst case she ever saw. It was on intestines, bladder, colon as well as ovaries, at one time grapefruit sized cysts. I literally fainted twice from the sharp pains. This was in the 80s and 90s. They never once offered me pain medication. I was dumb, young and naive (no internet back then) and didn't know pain med even existed. Now I hear it's regularly prescribed for endometriosis. The hysterectomy in my late 30s was smartest decision I ever made (they were suggesting I get one since I was about 20) But now in my late 50s and having arthritis and other things, I won't be in 24 7 pain anymore. Pain can kill you. It raises my blood pressure. So I take tramadol daily (prescribed) and kratom helps with residual pain. I can't believe those Doctors had me endure that hell for so long without even the suggestion of pain control. Although I was a minor during the first few years of it, so I suppose it's possible they asked my Mother and she declined it as she had a dreaded fear of morphine I learned years later. She's been gone for years so I can't ask her now.

I wanna stop tramadol too . I ordered 100grams… am ok 400mg tramadol daily now , I was at 500 and then taper to 400mg now … my Kratom arrives next week my plan to to try to tapper to 300mg by next week and then stop cold turkey .. yup I’ll start taking 2-4g morning afternoon and evening, I heard it’ll help with my withdrawals, am preparing myself with some vitamins B, C I heard it’s good too … am confused can I take ibruprofen in case of the chills / or some loperamide(Imodium) for the tummy cramps… I heard if you overdose vitamin c and B or take 15 2mg loperamide pills your withdrawals will be minimum too 🤷🏽‍♂️ , I just want to becareful mixing kratom , ibuprofen, loperamide is that ok ? Anyway I’ll update on my recovery if anyone care to ask 😢 mind over matter 😊the human body can withstand soo much when pushed to the limit , my withdrawals will be like my journey to being the best of myself , am prepared to feel like shit for a few while and stay healthy for yearssss

I (luckily) never found my "drug of choice" so far. Ive used drugs for a while because I was bored out of my skin or extremely anxious or depressed (thanks ADHD and autism) so whenever I've got withdrawals I've just tapered off each time. It will definitely help. I would suggest ordering it online by the kilo to save money. A kilo from a reputable vendor online is only about $80 bucks but if you buy a kilo at a smoke shop it will be about $300 to $350

I have an issue with Kratom but in your situation is is totally useful. With your drug history you will probably need to take around 5-10 grams at once to feel effects. Capsules are about 0.5 grams

It's hepatoxic and gave me gallstones and didn't help my bladder either or mental health once I became dependent. It's harder to kick than traditional opiates in my experience as it acts as an ssri and an opiate

It can take up to a solid year for SSRI's to work. I'm on Lexapro for severe hypochondria (health anxiety) and it took a solid year before I noticed any effect. Suicidal feelings/thoughts are only initial and can last 2-3 months. Sometimes more in a small amount of people. SSRIs would work for you, but if you found relief in Kratom, keep doing that. Way less harmful than what the pharma companies push through our bodies

@@Bucephalus84 i ended up taking more of the pills. i took one every hour for 3 hours. after the 3rd on the 3rd hour it actually kicked in and worked. the 2nd pil i could feel euphoria (high) and my pain dimmed down. by the time the 3rd kicked in my pain went away and i spent like the next 6 or 7 hours cleaning my spare room and throwing stuff out. its the first time i really been able to do anything for a month. i was fucking shocked. although im still going to be cautious with this stuff im really suprised how similar it is to taking a pain med. its just to bad you have to take so many capsules of it.

@@Anninukichild i ended up buying the pills instead of powder. the super indo seemed to work the best for me. both reds didnt work except one helped with sleep. i havent taken any prob since that post until 2 days ago. i been in extreme pain again from the barometric weather pressure and dumped a red pill out and filled it with the white kratom. it seems to be helping for pain so far i can walk around the house at least. yesterday i tried one. and today i tried 2 spaced apart about 8 hours and got a headache. there seems to be no balance on if its going to work or not its hit or miss. i put the opened pill in a measuring spoon and 1 pill was 1 teaspoon which i think is roughly 3 grams a pill. i may be wrong but i dunno. i prob wont take any for more then the next few days and stop again. im def not wasting money on a scale to figure it out.

@@michaelmorrison9127 I did. I used kratom to get of my dr prescribed meds. Norcos I was addicted. And to be honest kratom helped me stop taking the pain pills. Then I thought I was maybe taking too much. Instead of stopping cold turkey. I took less and less. I also stopped taking red kratom. I used White Borneo and white Thai. I would alternate between the two and took less and less. Until I stopped. I will take a little kratom like “Motrin.” If I’m cramping or have a head ache. I may take just 1 pill every few weeks or months. If you have any questions feel free to ask me mind over matter!
