Honestly I want a Code Veronica big boy remake. Give it the full treatment! It's the one game of the series most haven't played due to the platform it was on at the time and could really use the most changes to how the game flow works. I REALLY REALLY want some sort of revisit to Resident Evil Outbreak too but that's probably a niche dream of mine.

I didnt know what i wanted for re9 before this video but now i do. Originally i was completely off on the idea of an open world resident evil. But now i want a first person open world raccon city type game. Open world city environment with zombie like enemies. But with the first person twist. I know games like dying light and dead island exist but resident evil can do it better with their owm twists.

For open world resident evil quests I could see saving civilians or finding umbrella corporation intel left behind, kinda like in certain points in Village did it. Could be a good way for them to do the usual lore drops in documents/memos found but instead of laid along a linear path you have to search for them.

Considering it is the BSAA, defiantly Jill and MAYBE Sheeva. Perhaps we will get more on the connections with Mia. I personally want more phycological horror, the spores from RE5 and most of the gameplay adaptations that were from the Benevento house. The rumor is that the game will take place in a ghost town, if that is the case, Open World will work.

Remake RPD was perfect. I want RE engine, 3rd person Spencer mansion. Capcom already proved they could nail it. The Wesker storyline needs to be retold through RE1 and Code Veronica remakes. Otherwise, a remake of 5 would not make sense. The series has more new fans than ever thanks to Remake 2, and most probably didn't care or feel any stakes with Wesker's appearance in 4 remake.

I think it would be cool if they brought back A & B scenarios but made it necessary for you to play both to get the full story. Each scenario should be like 8-10hrs individually, but maybe the game gives you the option to switch between characters every chapter similar to what DMC5 does in the later half of the game. That way, you can craft the ideal single scenario experience if you prefer to play that way.

We could honestly develop an RE2-like game with puzzle items in enclosed environments and a classic inventory with no economy.. while greenlighting an RE4-like game with economy drops and the briefcase mechanic in linear environments more conducive to an action game. Each game keeping the vision of the originals but in a new setting. Also, don’t scope creep the games into making environments and gameplay elements bland.

I think the next Resident Evil will come. Will it be resident evil 9 and then the remake of 5 or code verônica. It's worth remembering that Capcom stated that it will have 5 remakes of Resident Evil.

I feel a bit in the minority, but i definitely prefer the FPS to TPS. One of the worst scares ive ever had in a game was an emergent moment where as I opened a door, Lady Demitrescu was coming in through the door. I actually slightly fainted and went light headed. Only time any RE game has scared me like that.

Resident Evil 1 has not been ported to modern systems, it is only emulated on PlayStation and not available at all on Switch or Xbox

The resident evil 1 remake is on PS4, not sure if there is a specific ps5 version But they also have re1 ps1 directors cut on PS4/ps5. But like you say it is just the ps1 version unchanged. Which I love. But I wish they did the same for re2 and 3.

I would greatly appreciate it if they avoided the open world genre. The whole reason RE is one of my favourite franchises is because they are very digestible and well paced. Open world will mess that pacing up. I'm hoping they stay either lineair, or well crafted open zones like the boating section in re4 remake.

I've wanted an open-world RE for a long time... not necessarily RE9 but as a spin-off / reinvention of RE Outbreak. Inspired by Dying Light, the open-world would be Raccoon City during the few days between the lockdown and the nuke. Although it would be an action-adventure offline game in 1st person, so not very Outbreak.

I want something unique again with RE9.. RE7 was like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, RE8 was based around classic universal monsters, Transylvania vibes.. I hope RE9 continue being distinctively different from what we expect with classic RE games.. Something insane, an unexpected theme like Aliens, or Circus Clowns, or ghosts, but RE style. Something ridiculously different than umbrella, zombies, being a well known action hero, etc... but still making it feel like a RE game as they did with 7 and 8. I hope they continue first person, I still kind of hope you play as another average joe like Ethan.. cause again we're most likely getting RE5 remake after RE9.. so we're getting Chris Redfield/Sheva, we're getting classic RE vibes, and being a badass action hero.. not to mention we just got RE4 Remake.. so I really want RE9 to be something unique again. It's refreshing, exciting, and they nailed the last 2 taking huge risks drastically altering what fans expect. I say go for it again. Also RE 7 was great in VR, but RE8, and RE4 Remake are arguably the 2 best VR games ever made, the best way to experience them imo. Blew me away.

Having just finished my replay of RE5 Remaster last night, I think this game is actually ripe for a Remake. I can confidently say that you can change 60% of the game and most people won't even realize you've changed stuff. I love the game and had a blast with it, I'm gonna try and platinum it as well, but the second half of RE5 is pretty much "we have Gears of War at home" with the janky cover shooting stuff. Even I had forgotten all those parts haha I'm confident that they'll do a great remake of it tho and I can't wait to see/play it.

Remake Zero and feature Wesker prominently (even more than he already appears in the original) teasing 1 heavily at the end, but hold 1 for last; then remake Code Veronica, 5 and 6. Then remake 1 to bring it home. Then let's reboot Dino Crisis, and I say reboot because let's ditch everything but the first game in that franchise. Though they're not doing that at all, Dino Crisis 2 is as beloved as RE4.

For 9, they should have Jill, Carlos, Claire, maybe Rebecca and probably a new face. I'm miffed Rebecca hasn't been used more because she's the biochemist; it'd be neat to see a more scientific perspective from her. Also, having the zapping system would also be great; RE2R and Alone in the Dark have gotten me annoyed of not having actually different and separate campaigns with their characters. Also, *IF* it's going to be open world, I hope they style it something similar to Bloodborne.

I love RE2 remake but I really don’t like that Claire starts with that little revolver. She should start with her Hi-Power by getting it from a cop at the gas station or somewhere at the start of the second run also, then get a different magnum later. Also the guns that use 45 ammo should be held normally and have the silly stances be tied to unlockable costumes. Second run intro could’ve been longer too and implemented the ‘zapping’ system. With these changes and couple other minor things it probably would’ve been the best in the series.

Pitching Outbreak as live service is a horrible idea. It needs to be made as a narrative and scenario driven single player (with ai) and co-op game, with unlocks and difficulty grading similar to the other remakes. It should also bring back cut RC stuff like the moth

I know there’s been rumors of another RE1 remake happening even though it makes no sense in my eyes. RE5 I would love if it got ported over again. If they’re going the remake route though it really should be CVX that gets it next, in my eyes it’s dated the worst even more so then the original trilogy

From a story perspective you certainly want to remake RE1 first if the end goal is RE5 remake. RE1, CV and RE5 essentially act as the Wesker trilogy and remaking the games in that order would be best way to go.

Probably just remaster the RE1. Something from the Tank Era Controls has to survive. Slight modifications to the smoothness in the controls, probably a few cut areas, new weapons, but that should stay.

@@g5naim Sorry if I wasn't clear, but I was referring to the gamecube remake of RE1. That game holds up well, so just a few "remaster" touches would be fine. The point is that the "tank controls" and fixed persepective gameplay should be represented still in the RE series. And the RE1 remake version should stay. Bringing it up to "share the same persepective" shouldn't be an "objective" for the first game in the series given the legacy of RE.

@@tbrandy1405 RE1 Remake isn’t going anywhere, it’s still widely accessible through modern consoles and even goes on sale frequently. To be clear, the camera perspective shouldn’t be (nor would it ever be) the sole reason that this game would get remade once again. The fixed camera and controls would still be represented through the availability of that game (you don’t see Capcom delisting OG RE4 from digital stores like Rockstar did with PS2-era GTA releases once their botched remaster came outs), and if anything one should hope for a Classic trilogy remaster just like Aspire did with TR 1-3 Remastered. Still, it’s an inevitability that this game will get remade once more, and the best way is to reimagine without cutting content (now that would be a valid concern).

I don't know how I feel about an open world RE game. More like, I don't belive horror mixes well with that kind of design. Horror games should be unpredictable and have you on edge, making decisions at every corner. Open world makes everything too formulaic and less tense, and like in Evil Within 2, you have these fun mini environments in the city area that don't interfere with other areas, where you have sidequests, and a to-do list that takes you out of the experience of a horror game. Sure, it's a fun game, don't get me wrong, however I preferred the horror present in the first game where the game is conducting you, unlike EW2 where you are almost in control of everything, and the scary parts are very secluded in some very specific parts, outside of the open world areas. I remember how Mafia 3 (not horror I know but hear me out) wanted to take adventage of the city but it ultimately made it to arcadey, too mission driven, and the progression was so inorganical that you almost forget about the good story the game has. If they do go with an open world design, they have to do something about making the player feel unpowered while navigating the world, where you fear about venturing out in the open and make decisions of what to carry with you, and not having a simple run-of-the-mill tower system with resting places like Dying Light, or like in Days Gone, where sure, you have zombies in a big open world, but where you never feel scared at all.

The only thing I don’t agree with in general for any re game is having super powers as a protagonist and basically have the game be like x men. Just no. The series went downhill a lot of times with over the top action and if we also bring that it’s over. Let’s keep the series as a a survival/horror series mostly please . We can keep the most powerful characters as villains if it’s explained well ,maybe like Albert
