I’m sure it’s hard to get the videos out every day BUT I just want you to know how much fun they are to watch , no matter what’s going on. We’re doing a full house renovation right now by ourselves while living in the house and to see you working at a project so much harder than ours keeps me going. That’s for sharing your project; can’t wait to see what’s going on every day.

I retired as a doctor and started investing in the stock market because of dividends and I have started building my dream home is not easy but I’m sure I will definitely complete it soon. What matters, in my opinion, is that if you invest and earn more money in addition to dividends, you will be able to live off of dividends without selling. It implies that you can pass that on to your children, giving them a head start in life. I've invested over $600k in dividend stocks over the years; I continue to buy more today and will continue to do so until the price lowers even further.

I think I might speak for most, if not all, Dan, when I say, it is honestly perfectly absolutely fine and ok that your posts might get irregular. (I'm just glad you're alive and ok!) All of us know how incredibly busy you are and that this is just life and how it unfolds renovating a massive damaged chateau. We truly appreciate all the work you do, including, and not only, the time it takes to edit this vlog on top of it all! I am absolutely amazed at your hard-working ethic! 🤚🏼👊🏼 Love, Jacqueline from New Zealand

We're with you, daily, every other day, three times or once a week. Do what keeps you excited but not so much that it drags you down, physically or mentally. I especially like your plans for more roofing and temporary roofing. If you can get a roof or temporary roof over the centre section that will really be worth your while. It will stop water getting into most of the basement and give everything chance to start drying out. Some bits must be completely saturated right through after 40 years of rain. The slower you can let it dry out naturally, the better.

Dan, Thanks for explaining the process to us. Renovations alway seemed to do the same for me... when I got that one thing done, i.e. roof in this case, I also had to reorganize myself on what was next. I've completely renovated 2 smallish old Farmhouses, but nothing at the scale you're doing. My favorite part of your VLOG is watching how you figure things out as you're going. I cannot tell you how many small projects I've been in the middle of and worry... "Can I get this done", but you take your time and figure it out. Amazing to watch... You are giving me confidence again to take on projects in my own home, thanks.

idea for the next project , sealing up the machine space , keeping those nice things dry . a door and some windows to keep the weather and moisture out , those cast iron tops are prety prone to rust loving what your doing . keep it going .

Dan, that house is enormous! I’m quite sure nobody knows where to go next with this restoration. One of these days the whole story of the house is going to come together again. Flat amazing.

I do miss the daily videos, but you are a very busy guy and there are only so many hours in a day. Have a safe trip to Paris!

Thanks for the update - we feel your joy and your pains. But it truly is very satisfying for us to view and follow your progress. I'm excited at the thought of you meeting with someone from the fire - that will be revealing. I am certain that it takes a lot of energy to get back to work, seeming starting from the bottom again and repeating what you've just done. I am confident that you'll be faster, more efficient this next side of the building. You've picked up an abundance of skills. No more distractions with Yurt Building, Plantings, swimming pools and the like - just get at it. 6 months from now, and you'll be putting the 2nd roof on. Thanks for being my #1 reason for watching You Tube. I hope it's rewarding for you, as much as it is for us. Greetings from Bali, Indonesia

Cant believe you did all that last bit of roof without a hoist??😮And maybe you should even have two hoists? Yet another random toilet? It’s interesting you will try to get the middle tower roofed as I thought having done one Mansard roof you’d put that experience to good use on the other side …but now see you’re half prepped already for the middle. Yea learning what you mean about strengthening the whole structure….the research is so revealing and I can’t wait to see that video about children who lived there!! Team Chaumont you must be so proud as the caretaker of that history. Thank you Dan ….
