Also applies to the Cycling Lands...aaand I've found the infinite: Tectonic Reformation + Amulet + Bounce Land. Cycle, discard, play, tap, and bounce. Draws your deck and makes sure you have spare mana. Landfall Commanders are happy.

@@HalcyonVentures Ah right crap. Need to recur Summer Bloom to finish the loop. Only way I can see to do that is combining an active Mystic Sanctuary plus Lotus Field and Crucible with the Amulet. Field pays for the Bloom and sacs itself and Sanctuary, netting a land drop each spin for the Reformation, which just makes infinite landfall triggers and mana.

Something that I believe people don't tend to point out is that March of Otherworldy Light also is great against a turn 1 Mana Crypt or any other 0 MV artifact. It might not be the best, but in non-blue decks with white can be a great removal at instant speed.

I ABSOLUTELY love these videos with you guys. I don't play cEDH, BUT I love watching you play and these videos help me better understand the card and play choices you make. For me, cEDH is like pro football: I don't want to play it myself, but I really enjoy watching it played well. This channel is basically sports-center for me for cEDH. Jin-Gitaxias in Kinnan has the extra sweet benefit of making your basalt monolith practically uncounterable due to the copy ability working on artifacts 2, which I think is pretty sweet for Kinnan specifically.

I wanted to correct something said @6:17 if you attempt to put an aura onto the battlefield onto an illegal target i.e abundant growth onto light-paws, the ability fails, and the aura remains in its last zone. unless they change that interaction with the release of the rules for this set, that is the current ruling @14:25 I like that the sagas trigger ETB's when they transform

@13:59 they did talk about why they made the sagas exile. They were able to give the creatures from the saga more power in exchange for them being slower. They also gave some of the creatures on the back side haste, so that was an additional option they had to work with.

To answers Tyler's question about exiling sagas vs just transforming cause I had the same thought when they started revealing more and more of these. Its because of the rules of sagas. After the 3rd chapter they sac themselves so just saying chapter 3 transform would do nothing and they would die. Id argue that all of them should flip into a creature with haste because most will only become creatures at like T6+ at best

Just a quick note regarding art on March of the otherwordy light. It reflects Japanese Matsuri (festival) and Omikoshi (a kind of palanquin for Shinto gods). I participate almost every year bearing omikoshi at festival with people in neighborhood and it’s quite fun actually.

Green one actually works in commander since its not restricted to targetting your own creature - it can grab your copy of Dockside from someone else's, can even get a thoracle with the etb on the stack and let you cast Consultation with their combo still on the stack

Worth mentioning that Swift Reconfiguration is a way to give Hermit Druid haste and protection in T&T turbo druid. Layers well with devoted (as mentioned), conditional removal and various other niche applications.

About why they have the sagas exile and then return to the battlefield, the third counter being put on a saga causes it to sacrifice itself. This trigger would still take effect if the card was transforming so they have it exile itself in order to lose the counters and so that the card stops being a saga.

At first I thought that, but no, that wouldn't happen. Sagas only sacrifice themselves when they reach their last chapter _and they aren't the source of a triggered chapter ability that hasn't yet finished resolving_ (or hasn't yet been put on the stack). By the time the last chapter ability resolves, the permanent is no longer a Saga. So it wouldn't be sacrificed. (This is also why you can tap Urza's Saga in response to its third chapter ability, after all.)

I think the red channel land seems kind of good in winota; I just don’t see much downside to playing it, so okay floor, and a pretty high ceiling with hasty non-humans. I can see some variants not playing it, but I think just replacing a mountain with it seems kind of fine to good

I think you really underestimate reconfiguration being a protection spell for commanders, you can hit thrasios with it to keep it as an engine but fizzle a removal spell

Swift reconfiguration can also protect vs kill spell. Also, in Portuguese we pronounce Aura the same way Cameron did. ^^

Great vid guys, I think that something about Moonsnare Prototype with respect to Springleaf Drum that's overlooked is the ability to tap your artifacts and break parity with the sphere/orb, or squeeze some extra juice from that lotus petal, being a one drop is great for Urza while Urza hasn't hit the ground yet

March of Burgeoning life does work in the format. It basically acts as a green mask of the mimic, use it to find your dockside after your opponent has one

The best thing about reconfiguration-devoted combo is what it works right away! With Wizier or Melira, your devoted druid must survive the turn cycle, (or you’ll need a haste enabler), and it sucks. This makes the combo so-much better!

I definitely think it's worth a try since it's in neo/eldritch tasigur range. In that deck, how much better or worse than Nezehal or other targets it is will depend on the pod/your meta; sometimes draw is better, sometimes control & BOGO spells is better.

I'm surprised there was no mention of Tameshi, Reality Architect as a W/U stax commander. It has a bunch of lines to win the game (people have yet to decide which is best) and also plays super well with stax enchantments like stasis (It bounces its own lands to replay them) and recurs other annoyances like ethersworn canonist or rule of law.

Ohh very excited! I was waiting for this video to come out! Edit: Touch the spirit realm cannot hit Rule of law, so that is unfortunate. Moonsnare Prototype vs Submerge : Submerge only puts it on top, Moonsnare can tuck to the bottom. Reality Heist: Possibly for Krark/Sakishima. Dockside entering makes it 2 mana, helps find krarks thumb. It does get you 2 artifacts as well. Not sure. Also, The Gitrog Monster LOVES the channel lands. Great video guys, very excited for this set!

your opponent can actually get Mystic Sanctuary when tutoring for Boseiju so you got to be careful but you could also use it on your own land to get other interaction or an combo piece back

A couple of thoughts First of all, love the videos. Yall are probably my favorite MTG youtube account and I apologize in advance for the long comment but I just love this set and I think it has tons of potential :) From Playtesting it, Light-Paws can be a very powerful commander. Especially with cards like battle mastery, mask of law and grace, shield of duty and reason, and daybreak coronet. I think Light Paws can hang in there along other voltron-y cEDH Decks like Jeska/Dargo or Jeska/ishai. It's big weaknesses are that it is a kill-on-sight commander and youre in mono-white so those two may be the things that knock Light-Paws from cEDH Viability I personally think Sythis is alrerady cEDH viable (harking back to the conversation on the MH2 podcast where Dylan mentioned that she costs less mana than Korvold or chulane but essentially ahd the same reward for playing the game) but this set is definitely going to put that in stone. cause the idea is to string enchantments until you hit either a combo or overwhelm everyone with Sigil, Hallowed Haunting, and archon of suns grace (the latter would be more of a result of a stax version of sythis) Lastly, I think a commander you probs overlooked was Tatsunari (the frog enchantress). Especially since you can easily turn 1 Tatsunari with a dark ritual, the win con is in the command zone and can keep coming back, and all you need is infinite mana with Whip Silk, Shimmering Wings or even a hurricane, Dina effect, or the exquisite blood. AND you can viably play Gitrog AND Grolnok in the deck and I think that's fun. Again, Sorry for the long comment but this set makes me very excited and I cant wait for the Kamigawa cEDH video :D

You should look harder at light paws. You should be able to get lethal commander by turn 3 to at least one opponent fairly consistently with a bit of protection. Also, the triggering Aura doesn't have to be attached to one of your creatures. If it goes a bit longer and you may need a pacifism out, you get pacifism and another one or two CMC enchants on light paws.

Does Experimental Synthesizer make the cut in Birgi as a one--cost "cantrip" of sorts? I'm not super familiar with the current lists, but I recall them playing quite a few cantrip spells already.

Been working on my own decklist for a Shorikai cedh deck most notable combos are Isochron Sceptre combos, Rings of Brighthearth combos, and Intruder Alarm combos (kinda iffy on the Intruder Alarm). I think the unique thing about this deck is its an azorius deck that is more reactive than stax, and all its combo pieces provide value outside of the combo. I opted to exclude Thassa's Oracle from my version, and instead win by milling my opponents out via Codex Shredder. :)

I believe Swift Reconfiguration's ceiling is even higher not as removal but protection, turning your Elsha or Seedborn Muse into an artifact in response to Gilded Drake or spot removal is strong. Or keep your hatebears when a boardwipe happens, this is dangerous, March of Swirling Mist behaves likewise :D.

OH March of Burgeoning Life isnt entirely unplayable in the Edh, maybe in cEDH, but if someone else has a creature on the board like a dockside, you can tutor up your dockside by targeting theirs. Waayyy too situational, but in a Pod where people play similar creatures I could see this card leading to someone accidentally letting someone else grab a wincon

The new land cycle seems pretty good on grolnak. It definitely sucks losing a removal spell but you at least can get a land drop off of them instead of just dumping them in your graveyard. The blue one is a little high costed for a non partner commander but boseiju is an autoinclude

Otawara could be interesting in Urza polymorph so you can bounce one of your mana rocks to your hand if you don’t have one to play possibly. I’m not a 100% how useful that is because I don’t play the deck.

Since the floor is an Island, I don't see how this doesn't see play in a mono blue deck like Urza. Seems like an easy low risk include, like yeah Blood Moon hits it, but you're playing an Urza deck and probably already would have enough basics and artifacts to deal with that.

swift reconfiguration can act as a counterspell.. If they go to remove your creature and its something like Thrasios where you don't care if its a creature or not you can make Thrasios not a creature meaning the removal spell has no valid target and fizzles..
