At Gaydon the motor museum has a great collection of Jags. A reminder that jaguar once knew how to design and build great cars. What a tragic descent into oblivion this new design is.

Exactly, been there a couple of times and it's fantastic. The Jaguar section is top class, from police cars to sports cars they knew how to do it. A far cry from the generic style we have to choose from today. I hope that museum is supported in the future, something to be proud of.

I have just remembered this isn't the only pink Jaguar we have seen. Back in the 1990's a pink Jaguar XJS convertible was brought out for a certain lady with strange bodily proportions. They also created a real one for promotional purposes. Even a pink XJS looks better than this thing.

They aim to produce small quantities of hand built cars at enormous retail prices that can't compete with rolls Royce. ....it's the end of jaguar

Love the love honey comparison. When Jaguar can make a modern car that has style, performance and RELIABILITY for a reasonable price then and only then will they might sell cars. Over the next couple of years many dealerships are going to disappear, the only thing keeping them afloat is probably the service dept, parts dept. Over the past few years I’ve seen The Bristol Street in Worcester decline, from about 4 new car salespeople to 1, and what used to be a thriving 2nd hand car salespeople team to about 2. The only staff remaining are mechanics’s, and the front of house service team, which are slowly being replaced by online. Freestanding computer at entrance. It used to be Ford only, then Ford Toyota, then Ford, Citroen, now Ford, Citroen, BYD.

Got a 2016 Jag XJ R Sport. 3.0D version. Have to say, I love it, it's just got such a presance. And, I get average 50 to the gallon with the type of driving I do. Would have another one tomorrow. I really don't understand what is happening to Jaguar. Have to say I don think the shape is bad, but it's electric, so it's got a great long bonnet. With nothing in it. I want more than anything that Jag survives, gets back to where it could be. But the world wants bland, so that what they get.

What everyone is missing is the basic concept of advertising here. AIDA, whilst the last two D and A may very well be missing from 99.99999% of us , the first two are definitely there, so kudos to the agency and designers. Of course the A, is attention, the I is interest, scored a bulls eye there, as mentioned hardly anybody will follow on with Desire and Action, IE buying a car akin to Cruella de villes motor. The other thing is they're going to sell cars, very few I'd guess at Bentley money, put your key down at the golf club bar and a Bentley trumps a Jaaaaaag.

I can see this being a decent looking car with some redesign and proper colour paint. It’s a concept so it will never see the light of day the way it is. They’ve left all that room down the middle for a drive shat and transmission once you get rid of the batteries and there’s definitely enough room for a big V12 under that hood or even a V16. Whatever they come out of the closet with will be a collectors item since they won’t build many and they will sell even fewer. It will also be the last Jaguar ever built and that alone should give it some value in the future. If I had the money I’d buy two, one to keep and one to modify with a V8 or V12 with a manual transmission. It’s so sad that the Indians have got hold of Jaguar and are going to destroy the brand completely. It could be that now that the UK has been overrun by them they are adding insult to injury by destroying the brand in the worst way possible.
