100% concur with your thoughts that back up regionals shouldn't be allowed.. Big fan of the Reed's but Tate & Kiah were qualified in 3 outta the 6 regionals!! Huge respect for doin ur whole am career without back ups & no DNQ's

The ONLY importance of LL’s is to make Davey Coombs and family rich! I’m from So Cal in the 80’s you could race the series in the Open (500cc) Beginner Class and win the series and win a LT230 Quad! Every Class winner for the series won either a new Motocross bike or Quad! The Loretta Lynn races are a cash cow for the Coombs Family that the motocross families should boycott in my opinion! Just like at the AMA/Feld/MX Sports and the FIM are fleecing the riders and their families for THEIR OWN benefit! I won’t even go to their events because what they are doing is unethical to the sport I love! Whatever happened to paying it forward to the next generation? This added expense to the Moto-Community to make all of these entities wealthy is appalling! There is zero reasoning for this! In the 80’s we would have 3 to 4 full gates at most of these races in the beginner class and even two full gates in the intermediate classes! I know some will say, “Supply and Demand” that’s the way it works and they keep getting people to do it! Thats correct, they just realize how much they are getting fleeced by the people running these races. Hell, back then all of the manufacturers used to pay contingency money for each event as well! I don’t know how wealthy Stu Peters at CMC ever became from being the promoter, but I know that I never heard of anyone ever complain about the expense of the races and everyone enjoyed the atmosphere!
