These two are the most honest genuine no bullshit Drs for hair loss I’ve ever come across. I suffered hair loss from a young age and used finasteride near 20 years ago. I was a super responder and my hair seemed to grow back while I was on it, I managed to keep a lot of my hair well into my late 30s. Now in my late 40s I’ve decided to let nature take its course. Although I have just started a course of Fin again just to see how much I can thicken it out. The information these guys give is second to none. And took scouring the internet and books to find 20-30 years ago

I started using this “Amy Grow” hair oil in college and left it behind for newer brands. I’ve had some thinning due to braids and decided to go back and re-try this oil and I wish I had never left. I like the smell of the natural oil. This natural oil does not smell like coconuts or birthday cake or fruit like many other hair products. Instead, it smells earthy and natural and I prefer that. I would not say this is an instant miracle oil, but I have seen growth with regular use and massaging of my scalp. Yes, it is oil, but it also helps to soften my coarse, kinky hair, but I can see it being greasy if you have a smoother texture or straighten your hair. I would not apply this at bedtime because it can stain your sheets. Instead, I apply it in the morning so it has time to absorb during the day. Overall I highly recommend this “Amy-Grow” natural hair oil. It’s affordable, the ingredients are natural and it can assist growth. The amount you apply depends on your texture and style, so start with a couple of drops and go from there.

I am almost 26 with very very minimal thinning in a small section of my hairline, but have a thin crown. I believe I understand what my hairloss would look like in the future, based on my father's and grandfather's hair. Hairloss is honestly ruining my quality of life. It has stopped me from doing many things I want to do, such as swimming and being anxiety-free in social situations. After that, i really don't care if i have hair or not, because i have already lived my youth and i am ready to enter the next stage of the Human life, growing old. At that point, i just want to eat healthy and exercise so i don't have to rely on too many medicines and assistance into my old age. I am currently 25, already started experiencing hair thinning and hair loss, i haven't taken any medication yet, but i will probably start with micro-dose of fin and maybe bump it up to 1mg if i don't see much effect. I don't plan on taking fin for my entire life, it is completely unnecessary. Hi doc’s, I’m 22 years old this year and got marked at a 3 vertex. Although when looking at models of a 3 vertex, I feel I look better. I was told a FUE transplant would be a great option and if I maintained finasteride I would not have to worry of losing my hair any further and post transplant. I’m healthy and athletic with no issues with ED, but should I be worried about finateride side effects? And is the transplant a smart option if i use fin? Thanks guys.
@TheHairLossShow4 жыл бұрын
Jay, this is a great question and really does highlight the issues. Firstly, you are quite young to already be a 3 vertex. Please don't take that badly, but it means that you are more to the moderate / aggressive end of the scale. With someone like that, the concern is how much further will you progress; with or without medication. Remember, even with finasteride, you still run the risk of losing more hair over time. There is a risk of early transplantation. The problem would be that if you need multiple surgeries over time will you run out of donor hair? If you go down the road of having a hair transplant, the key question is which technique would be better? There will be a lot of factors affecting that decision; but purely on an age basis, one could argue that you are better off starting with FUT and progressing to FUE later... Good luck!

I’m 20 years old and I am currently 3 weeks into my Finasteride journey. I wondered since my beard is far from fully developed if the lowered dht level in my body will destroy my potential of ever getting a beard, simply delay the process a bit or if it won’t have that much of a influence in facial hair development? I started Finasteride because of a slight thinning at the temples but otherwise a very thick good head of hair, and I want to stop further hair loss before it gets really noticeable since all males in my family suffers male pattern baldness, but it would be really sad if that means no beard ever. Should I wait a few years before I continue Finasteride to give my beard more time to mature, or is it possible to continue Finasteride so I can keep a good head of hair, and still developing a beard over time? It is worth noting that males in my family can get beard, but it usually doesn’t develop properly before mid twenties.
@eXolusiatious4 жыл бұрын
It probably will slow the beard development down to a degree, but it's really up to you if you want to keep using it. Keep in mind that testosterone is still androgenic and will keep your beard growing. Testosterone should maintain your facial hair. Depending on your hair situation (Norwood level) I'd keep using it. I mean you're 20, it's not like you're 15/16 years old. And honestly, I'd rather have no facial hair but a thick head of hair than be bald with a thick beard.

So since I’m 22 with a Norwood 5 and my dad is a Norwood 5 or 6 and he is 62 years old. And my mother’s, brother’s one is I believe 54 years old and the other one is 50 years old. The younger brother my other uncle, had a Norwood 6 pattern when he was 43 years old I looked at pictures and he had and still has high sides and large donor area (I saw in person) and a few hairs meaning like 10 left but they were spread out, still on the top of his head. My other uncle that is 54 years old right now he has a Norwood 6 pattern I’m pretty sure because he still has high sides and a small patch on frontal forelock. So my question is since they are high Norwood’s but not Norwood 7 (I don’t think) and they are in there 50s and my dad is in his 60s. Am I only programmed to go up to a Norwood 5 or 6? and then my male pattern baldness has stopped and then I can get a transplant?

My issue with Saw Palmetto is that it doesn't have a predictable pattern of working. There are no studies (that hold up to statistical analysis) that demonstrate the effectiveness of Saw Palmetto. That is not to say that people haven't had benefit, it is just not predictable.

I’m looking to to do it myself I’m not bothered taking fin for my hair life! My best guess is you’ll want to be willing to do multiple hair transplants + smp to achieve a good result! Depending on your predestined hair loss you can make it to 60 with a “good head of hair”

Hello doctors! I started finasteride 2 weeks ago 1MG per day. First 5 days of taking it I had unrelenting heart palpitations... not 100% sure they were heart palps but I had jumping in my chest anyways (without pain) that lasted for this number of days. Have not had absolutely any other problems associated with the medication since. Feel great. Was wondering if you have heard of this happening or could shed some light on what happened to me? I figure it was just my body adapting in some weird way. Thank you for your time!

J Allson Sure thing. This may be a tough pill to swallow (pun intended) but in the weeks after this comment all hell broke loose. I was so determined to continue and fought on and on... lowering the dose etc... I finally threw in the towel on July 14th. As of August 29th, I am just now feeling normal again and hope I continue to recover. Severe insomnia, forgetfulness, memory loss, slowed thinking, poor attention, sexual shutdown, climaxes that felt no better than passing gas (no joke). It was like I didn’t sleep for months yet at the same time I was so wired it was like I drank several cups of coffee. Roughly 5 and a half months on the drug. Hair never changed. I have diffuse thinning. I am hoping to consult a qualified dermatologist this time to get to the bottom of the cause of thinning in my personal case. May not even be MPB for sure anyways. Wasted my whole year torturing myself with this medication, not that 2020 has been worth “enjoying” anyways. Ha!

@krishnat70-13 жыл бұрын
@@sangeetabittu1498 the thing is that minoxidil actually works on stimulating the hair growth and the hairs only grow in anagen phase(3-5years),minoxidil works by extending the phase, so when the hair is in telogen phase minoxidil doesn't work on that particular hair and when the telogen phase(lasts 2-3 months)of the hair ends and new anagen phase starts minoxidil starts working, thats why doctors recommend 3-4 months of continuous usage to see results
