Frankly, I would take care of that kind of business at home before meeting someone for a first date. I would feel really awkward pooping in a strange girl's bathroom. Especially since I like to eat spicy food which can result in some really, um, "aromatic" poops.

People always bring your purse/wallet and phone/etc with you! How you can trust anyone to watch it is beyond me. Especially if they’re strangers/even friends. People have low attention spans, especially for things they don’t own. Even if there’s no where to hook it to the door for the bathroom put it between your feet and stop hands if anyone tries to grab it

This question gets asked frequently, but here’s mine. The one where we went for coffee and a pastry and she ate it all except for one bite. She cut in line and shouted for the manager like a Karen, going off about “what kind of stale scones are you selling!? I want my money back or I’m calling corporate blah blah blah”. I said to her, “Let’s just go, please. This isn’t fair to all these people.” She refused. I begged her numerous times for her to stop but she would not let the $3.95 (Cost of the scone go). One of the employees told me they’d already called the police and that I could leave if I wanted. I apologized to everyone there and I walked away.

This one is something I think most can relate too. For me my worst date ever was the last one I had before meeting my current GF. I was never much of a dater really and my head canon for dating, especially in this area, is going to bars or clubs and meeting girls. I prefer a quiet night in doing my own thing, like reading or studying or gaming and other fun nerd stuff I just enjoy doing as a hobby. So needless to say I was a fish out of water in the situations I said before. Going to a bar wasn't fun especially cause I do not drink. Going to clubs sucks too cause again, I don't drink and I hate the music. However I met a rather nice, attrative women on my first go in a local bar. We talked, she thought I was interesting and I left with her to hang out. The night was very early, honestly it was still afternoon so not like anything was stopping us. Well first place we went was her place (Get your head out of the gutters!) to grab some things. Then she wanted to go to another bar. Then she wanted me to take her to her friends at another bar... it didn't take long after this to realize she was just using me for rides, but at least we were talking and she did seem nice so I didn't mind really. by the end she was piss yourself drunk and I can say this cause she peed in my car right on the seat. She also never shut up about herself and did a lot of complimenting also but it was all starting to sound the same. She ended up asking me for money as we went to our 4th or 5th bar that night, now it was late, and I was kind of sick of this. She was totally drunk with her friends, all screaming in my ear, and so I said sure, but I need to go get my money from home. I drove off and never looked back. She didn't have my name or number at all either so not like she'd find me thank god. I noticed the pee the next morning... I was done dating at this point and just continued doing my own thing. I ended up at the card shop in town one day and played some Commander with a girl around my age and well, we just became friends, about a month later we dated and now this summer we are getting married 2 years after we met. It really is best to find someone you like with similar interest over just random people at bars and clubs.

I was never into bars and clubs 10 years ago, let alone now. I'm straight edge af. I was always "weird" and "boring" because I never liked to get drunk or party. So guys wouldn't be into me, right? I mean I'm a shy awkward nerd and I'm ace, so I'm not going to have just a psychical relationship. I'm still a boring introvert, but as my Irish grandfather always said, you never find anyone of any repute in a pub or a club. Too bad mum didn't listen.

He told me he always thinks abt how it would feel to cut someone's head off. 1st though he was joking until he went in to great detail abt his obsession. Worse date I ever had I drove for over an hour to meet this chic I was talking to for a few weeks for her to ghost me before the meal even showed up... Ended up eating both our meals then paid and left to notice her sitting in a car parked next to mine. Sent her a message sitting in my car saying not sure what happened but to have a nice life. She was fairly quick to apologize but I wasn't hearing it considering the waiter informed me she was an old friend. She gave me some shit about not feeling safe when she was blocks from her house and had friends on site. She offered to join me for a meal on my side of town but reminded her if she didn't feel safe in her neighborhood, seemingly supervised by a friend there was no way in hell she would feel safe hours away in a new place. Might have given her a second chance if she informed me she had to excuse herself for whatever reason in some form before I finished 2 meals. She could have told her friend/our waiter what was up or something.

Yep, I would have walked out too. No need even going any further in the date, because if you had developed a relationship with her you'd always be second (or third) in line behind her phones. I mean, the point of a date is to get to know the other person better, and you can't do that if you're constantly on or looking at your phone. But she was probably one of those girls who just wanted a free meal anyway.

This one is partially on me. When I was 15, I was texting a girl I never met in person. We had recognized each other at a softball game, but we didn’t speak because she played softball herself and had to go training. She liked me and we agreed to go see each other at her next softball game. But suddenly she stopped texting. I texted her over and over and got no response days up until her game, and because she hasn’t said anything over the phone, I chose not to talk to her. Because I didn’t know if she was ignoring me. All of the sudden the next day I had gotten about 20 texts all at once, with her being very confused and asking why I didn’t speak to her. I told her I hadn’t gotten her messages up until that point. It turns out the area she lives in was in a thick forest area and she had bad internet, and the texts she was sending didn’t reach until days later. It was awkward but we eventually agreed to meet each other the next day. Everything after that turned out alright.

It was 2021 in March, my girlfriend at the time and I were going out to eat, she had just gotten back home so we wanted to do something nice. But when we got to the restaurant, she was angry, not at me but she was ranting to be, but she was borderline yelling, and she made it feel like it was all my fault. So at the end of the day, the date was survivable but not ideal. She would then go on to manipulate me and cheat on me later in our relationship.

Omg same here. I used to think there was something wrong with me and I was so hideously undateable because guys just didn't want to date me. Unless you count random strangers I've never met blatantly asking for my number in a supermarket or walking down the street. Turns out I'm asexual. I probably could be capable of being a good partner, but I'm a quiet shy dork who still lives at home. I am pretty self reliant and I've just never felt that spark or had anyone who was interested in me. I don't consider myself to be particularly good looking or successful, but I like to just do my own thing anyway. I've only been on two dates in my life. Nothing doing otherwise. I can chat with ppl no problem, but I end up getting ghosted after a couple days 99% of the time. I don't understand how ppl meet each other and have hook ups.
