Well, I've seen the movie, and can confirm that Something in the Way is not only in the movie, it's used more than once. Matt Reeves listened to SITW when writing the screenplay and thinking about the character. It was also an influence on his casting Pattinson for the role.

I mean that was the point and it served an actual narrative purpose. It wasn’t just played twice because Matt Reeves thought it sounded cool, it was done to show Batman’s progression throughout the film and showcase his character arc hence why when it was played the second time it was completely different and more uplifting.

& Darth Vader themes first few notes is actually borrowed from Chopins "Funeral March". Originality doesn't exist anyway as all these melodies & harmonies are there like from centuries from all these classical music giants that its impossible to make a new line of melody. What we can do now is just do variations out of it. Its surprising but ever since i got into classical music in 2013, the quote from Fight Club really sinked in for me *Everything's a copy of a copy of a copy* #justsayin
