I love the abilities in this game. Some of the starting stuff doesn't feel great, but a lot of them have a really nice feel. The Mage's glacier ability feels great too. This is one of the few games where I really like the mage. I suck at mana management though.

You are honestly on the exact same page as me! I felt the same regarding mage (I usually play warrior type classes) Glacier is such an epic ability! They have already made some changes to starting abilities as well to improve them so I hope they continue reworking those.

I love some erasing strike, I take the void beam chance a little bit. you just gather up as much as you can then hit it. So many beams come down it turns the wimpy mobs into more dps on the big mobs its so fun. I also take the guaranteed echo. I have a strange build at the moment warpathis used as a builder cost no mana and is setup to generate mana. it buffs buffs void cleave and void cleave buffs erasing strike. I have helping hands as movement ability with proc on melee and sigils of hope as buff, with the 150% melee dmg for 2 sec after cast. lots of stuff that buffs each other its very fun im only lvl 67 and I may change but man its fun

I used to be a ride or die void knight auto bomber cause I absolutely love watching everything die as I walk past, but with 1.0, I have absolutely fallen in love with healing hands. It’s an ability I didn’t even know I needed until I got it, and it’s absolutely glorious. Definitely my favorite skill now, even when the insane ward gen inevitably gets nerfed
