Cage concerns are very valid with rally. Could also be worth considering Time Attack for it as its a nice blueprint and a light chassis, we have a local one to me here in the states with a K24 in it that's fast. Cheap on consumables versus bigger and faster one-lap heroes as well.

Depends what type of rallying you're thinking of. If you do some single venue stuff I think you're probably less likely to end up on the roof than you are racing on track. Get yourself out on the Winter Stages at Croft 😊

most people tend to go back to oem style shock and spring for rallying, i assume its for durability but not sure

It's for clearance and more suspension travel mostly, but probably also replacement cost and reliability. Lots of people will use springs from a larger engined model of the same car to jack it up as high as poss for even more clearance. For example using M3 or 330d springs on a 318 rally car.

Yeah he did, but why? And the Anti roll bar on the stiffest setting? I'm 'fiddling' with my setup just now and I'm on standard links and the softest setting on the ARB. Should I be changing it???

It’s for when you lower the ride height the stock links are too long. I found the Honda ones to be the right size for my ride height. Or you can put adjustable ones but I prefer fixed ones if they are available

SHES looking proper racecar😆, but no way that cage/etc is passing rally tech, theyre quite strict from what ive heard and i really wouldnt wanna wrap it around a tree with those low door bars and main hoop. worth just cleaning up a bit and selling/trading for a better rally base imo

Dan, Ive said it before but I think your spreading yourself too thin. I’ve watched you over the years slowly reducing all your cars to scrap, you carry out bodge after bodge ‘repairing’ them. Look at the state of your work area and shelving. Thin things out. Get the M3 sorted. Go back to the Nurburgring. It wont be good for the views but will be good for the mind.
