Hi, a rookie question here. When you’re using the rapid fire or any other module , then what is happening with the goggles built in receivers? No antennas on it. Or is it automatically turn off when using AV mode? Isn’t it bad if you running the goggles for a long time with no antennas on it? Thanks in advance !

Good review. Looking at getting this as I use 03O's (need diopters) and I race. Questions on the power input. Skyzones run off 2S to 6S voltage. I run mine off 4S. Modules use 5V. Does the bay support 2S to 6S input and convert voltage to 5V for the module (I expect so)? If so, what is the max amps a module can draw? (Rapidfire need at least 350mA to avoid switching to low power mode). Also worth mentioning that Skyzone DVR can record the AV-in. (I checked this before buying my 03O's).

I just recently switched to running Rapidfire and fatsharks from using nothing but built in diversity receiver goggles FOR YEARS now(eachine box style, aomway, sky zone) and I’m honestly VERY surprised that I CANT TELL ANY DIFFERENCE as far as video reception or distance, I still get pretty much the EXACT same video and range, it’s NO better or worst across the board, with maybe some slight increase in video quality in certain situations... Quality VTX and antenna selection/orientation makes THE MOST difference( I ONLY run circular polarized antennas on ALL my quads and ALWAYS pair it with AT LEAST one matching circular antenna on goggles). IDK maybe I’m doing something wrong with band selections, or maybe I need to start flying inside of more buildings or parking decks to tell any big difference, but to me there really is none... very surprised and costly conclusion to learn
