What symptoms lead to your diagnosis of chronic pancreatitis?

Finding a Dr. and getting a diagnosis is one of the hardest things , it's easier to say you have irritable bowel syndrome and send you on your way. It took me years of extreme pain and ER visits in order to get a diagnosis. This disease is a death sentence, your life is destroyed from undertreated pain and digestive issues. After 14 years of this and I still haven't had any success in taming this beast, just surviving day to day is an ordeal .

Humble one I’m so sorry for your pain. I’m a acute pancreatitis survivor that was just diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis. I know how hard it is. Please don’t give up. There are people out here that understand you.

I have watched a couple of these vids. Ir would help greatly if you asked precisely where the pain emanated from and then go into the severity and description and if it traveled to other parts of the body. Have the patient physically point to the location of where the pain was.

Everyone says it's painful and radiates to the back but no one says exactly where the pain is located or starts at. I'm still wondering if it starts at the upper left, middle or right side of the abdomen. Maybe the pain came from the gallbladder or liver or colon or even a kidney?

Why do does everyone think it's from Alcohol .I have chronic pancreatitis but I do mot drink my grandmother passed away from it doctors or not it is not the only way to get Chronic pancreatitis from alcohol

Same thing happened to me. Just found out I was working at a brownfield site that wasn't completely remediated and was exposed to probably a dozen hazzardous chemicals/toxins. Awful!!
