I wondered the same thing too! Like it was a foreign concept. I didn’t even know what to do with the latter. So I just had it laying on the ground next to me after I examined it. Wood, Antique looking, about 8 steps. I like wood, it’s natural, I liked that it was antique looking. It was sturdy despite its age. Light weight and easy to carry and use around inside your house. Antiques remind me of simpler times. That’s why I like them. Still, the idea that the latter could exist in the same world as my cube was foreign. My cube was almost like a hologram, futuristic. Like an object that could be summoned into the palm of your hand. Reminded me of a video game. Just floating there, no bigger then a Rubiks cube, was a neon lighted framed cube. Nothing in it as it was just a frame. Kinda neat and futuristic. 😆 I wonder what it means about life goals? And how how I view my mind? Do I have goal any goals or that I don’t need them? Or are they only useful from time time? Like they are there to fall back on if you need them. Like my Antique latter. Natural, well used, reliable. Use as needed Good to look back on and remember. Futuristic, yellow neon glowing, famed cube. Simple, neat, nothing to hide. Definitely comes from the future. Brain hear the word latter…latter appears floating in front of me. 404 file not found. Object from a different time period….does not compute, Incompatible. Doesn’t know what to do with latter. Sets down next to me. 😂🤣😂

Exactly. A lot of these blind associations are only as metaphorically accurate to these descriptions as the person's experience with those things. I've never seen a wild horse in my life. Most of my vague memories thinking about horses are from western movies when I try to think of it. Western movies typically have a cowboy riding a horse. -That does *not* mean I want a partner I can "control". It's simply that I never really seen much horses in my life except in western movies. In contrast, all I've ever known have been independent women who are wild.

Yeah, I felt that »desert« and »cube« introduced some limitations - or external bias even - on my associative process. Maybe »landscape« and »building« would be more neutral. I needed to introduce a wadi to have a place for the flowers… The more I think about it, the less appropriate I find »desert«. For instance there’s almost only one kind of storm in a desert, a sandstorm, and it has very few parameters of significance, duration and location. So I just placed my storm far to the left, moving away from the interesting, black, metallic cube…

This actually made me feel more optimistic, specifically about my love life. My horse was a decent distance away, just standing still calmly with no bridle or saddle, and in my notes describing the horse I wrote "like it's waiting for something, but not impatient." I'd like to think that this means my future partner is out there, patiently waiting to meet me when we are both ready. It's a nice thought. 😊

The desert seemed endless and made me feel isolated. There was a lot of cactus and some had pink flowers on them. Other than that all the life was hidden. My cube was the size of a small room and it was about 15-20 ft in front of me. It was made of really dark green scales… and there was a doorway but the inside was pitch black. The vibe it gave off was repelling and I did not want to know what was inside the dark, scaly cube. The ladder was made of aged bamboo and it was built onto the cube. It went all the way up to the roof, though I had the strange feeling that if I climbed up onto the roof it might fall through and into the cube. I had no intention of entering that damn thing. The storm was coming and it was going to be POWERFUL and wild. The horse was a gelding. He didn’t spook at the storm. He just stood next to me, calmly. I felt support and peace from him. He was grayish white and was bridled and saddled, ready to carry me away from the storm lol. I felt alone in the desert and intimidated by the cube and whatever was inside of it. The raging storm that was headed straight for me made me restless and uneasy but, the horse brought peace and I felt like I would be ok because he was there and saddled and I wasn’t completely alone. Very strange scenario that my brain just created.

Red bridal, no saddle and the horse was the same color as the desert. The horse looked pleasant. The desert had a lizard and shrub near me. My cube was approximately 22 feet away from me. The storm was above the cube but the cube was in the eye of the storm. I was in the cube storm didn’t affect me. I was in the cube and the cube was in the eye. as I walked into the cube the space got larger kinda like Dr Who Tardis 😂. My flowers were fragile but with firm dense leaves. They were white and purple with yellow pollen. The ladder was against the cube and it was a simple but well built ladder (fresh wood) that leaned on the cube 2/3 up the cube. @@kaszandrajames653 I'll write my whole thing so that I don't forget. My desert was pink and filled to the brim with fossilized sea shells (I love sea shells). Plus cactus shrubs here and there. My cube was maybe 1.5ft wide and light in my hands. It was made of glittering, smooth obsidian that was see-through for halfway (and you could see stars inside), then the core was dense and black. My ladder was rickety old splintery wood. It was on the floor and I propped it up myself. The horse was auburn and sleek, aloof in the distance. It had a saddle but was unrestrained. As soon as flowers were mentioned, there were flowers EVERYWHERE, all the way to the distant corners of the desert (so I guess it was no longer a desert lol). They were all red-pink in hue and there were quite a few growing at the base of the ladder that I had propped up. The storm was deep, dark and terrifying, but it stood far away in the distance behind me. (Past traumas/struggles. I'm in a much better place now.)

My cube was within arms length, then picked it up, the size of a baseball. Corners are very sharp (almost enough to cut my fingers), dark navy blue, smooth like glass, made of obsidian. Ladder made of bamboo, long but not infinitely long laying near the cube. Desert, vast like the sahara all around & warm not hot. Chaotic storm in the far distance but not moving from the horizon & still dry & sunny where I stand. Flowers like Baby's Breath but pale pink all in my hand. The horse is a young wild red stallion, no bridle no saddle & looks like ready to gallop off but seems to be waiting about 10ft away from the cube. My cube was on my hand... As big as my palm. It was a solid, black iron. My ladder was in front of me, wood, brown coloured, lying on the ground, 2 meters away. The horse was running wild in front of me, not away but crossing over the desert as it passsed my eyes. The storm was in distance, the sky was adorned with lightning. Not to big, just 1/3 of the distant sky. And I was feelings unperturbed towards it. Or maybe it should be that I am feeling indifferent towards it. There was only one white flower at my feet. Though it look fragile, I got a strong feeling coming from its existence in the dessert. This exercise is really good in trying to understand yourself.

I found this book in the 90’s, always used to do “The Cube” with people. It’s funny how enough time has gone by that I forgot a lot of the details, but even with knowing the main points, my whole scene was completely different from before! It is interesting how what we want and our sense of self can change so much.

My cube was a clear crystal. Kind of like a jewel that maybe someone lost one day and the universe brought me to it. Doing the exercise it felt like I just found treasure. It felt amazing that in this miles and miles of sandy wilderness , every sand dune constantly changes with the winds, it so easy to get lost and here, just by chance I stumble across something so beautiful. And, just at the right time it gives a sense of calmness and serenity.

Yes Teal has done wonders for the world she and may never understand the magnitude in which she has enriched so many lives. Do not forget it is you that sought for knowledge and in that is great power. That through the darkness in which we have endured has made us stronger. That you are never alone. Though you may never see my face or travel across the vastness of the seas know that my love for you. The strength and the love of so many are with you. You are one with everything and everything is with you. In a land called India you are surrounded by so much beauty and knowledge that so many long for. But even a paradise to one can be a prison to another until you look within. Through this awakening you can find your peace. We all have a journey to make, vast valleys of darkness to walk through and mountains as bright as the sun to conquer. I am glad you are in the healing process and that you have found someone to help guide you on your path.

I like these. Mine was magical in nature too. More like a 4D cube that was a portal, it was big enough for me to walk into. It contained a tropical forest with a brilliant blue pond. I used some water on the desert outside and it started growing the same grassy plants but just in one patch. The ladder was wooden and leaning against the cube. I climbed it to see the top of the cube contained another dimension into a cave, it also had a pond but with a blue bioluminecense like glowing mushrooms were present. I dove in and realised i was stuck but the ladder appeared again to help me climb back out to see a horse eating the plant life that I'd grown. A single white daffodil with pink stripes was in the middle the horse sniffed it and left it be. The storm was large and distant at first but kept erratically changing direction. It stayed over me for a while and I disliked it. But it helped the flower grow so I accepted the feeling knowing that it was helping the plants and the horse that relied on it. The horse had a bridle but I didn't like that it couldn't eat so I took it off. It was saddled and I rode around on it, both of us were content. I got off and it kept eating. Now to decode my mind I guess. :D

Fellow magic cuber here. I needed badly to touch the cube (big and small at the same time, the opposite of what I am currently thinking at any given moment, as soon as I say its big...its small... and vice versa) and absorb its powers to be able to progress with some sort of magical energy needed, then snatch up the 3 flowers (i have 3 kids) that told me they would be ok even if I just left them there because the approaching storm wouldn't hurt them but they would like to see what's on the other side of the mountain ridge. Then hop on the my saddle less horse that had reigns dragging the ground just wandering in the distance waiting for me, the reigns were there but when looking at the horse in the eye I knew we could trust each other to go where we needed to go. The horse was like come on hurry up, figure yourself out, and get on, this 6ft ladder is small and somehow reaches the top of a 100 foot mountain ridge. So lets go explore the rest of the world will riding off on the edge of the storm for relief from the heat and to see its beauty but not so close that it hurts us or we get lost. My wife also saw 3 flowers on a bridle less horse with 3 flowers tucked in the saddle, she just wanted to hop on the horse and go to the storm for relief from the heat.

hmmm... mine was also "magical"... it had the form of a cube, a ladder standing on it and ending in the middle of one of its face, however the surface of the cube were transparent, and the content of the cube was a "magical", sort of oily, alive, mostly black with faint traces of purple and distant white stars in it. the surface were solid to the ladder, but I could go inside it as if there were no surface, I could also pick the substance inside in my hand to analyze it outside the cube.... I felt drawn to plunge in it and... transcend.

I did this test when I was a teenager, about 15 years ago, my friend "tested" me with a simplified version of it. I love how my pictures/answers are almost exactly the same as before. The only partial difference is in the cube (it's not completely different, but a tiny bit) Also, the answers are pretty great and optimistic (with realism). After a hard time, I really needed this
@Adriana.Gabriela
@Adriana.Gabriela 2 жыл бұрын
Since a lot of people are writing their answers here, here are mine: The desert was both big and small (it was vast, but the focus was on the part where I am), it was a classical sandy desert, like the Sahara, but it wasn't hot, it was nice and warm in a way that you don't even notice the temperature. The cube was kind of influenced by the video's thimbnail but it didn't differ a lot from my old one - the new one is transparent with rainbow edges, it is made of a non-defined material, but the material is very strong - the old cube was metal and there was a patch of rainbow travelling all over the cube. The ladder are leaning on the cube, and end just at the edge, so I can climb up. They are made of wood, but good quality sturdy wood. I am right in front of the sube and ladder, close to it. Flowers are all over the desert, not defined which flowers, but they are of various colors. But there's a bit of space around me, with one flower the closest to me, and I think the first time I did the test there were 3 floer the closest to me. The horse is a black stallion, wild, but tame, as in there are no rein or a saddle, the horse is free, but is calm and gentle. He is right next to the cube and me, and is approaching me and letting me pet him. (Btw, this is almost the perfect description of my ex, who is definitely the right person for me). The storm is very close to me and almost above me, but is barely managing to do anything. It's a small patch that tries to become a storm, but it can't (that would mostly mean that I'm not letting it, so instead it's sunny. All in all, pretty accurate, and al the answers are the same, except for the partial difference in the cube, and the tiny difference in the number of the closest flowers

The desert was vast, with just a few cacti and geographic features. Although my cube was large, it was nothing compared to the desert. My horse was white, with no bridle or saddle, and about 50 - 100 feet away. Just standing there looking at me, with a breeze tousling his mane. He seemed that he was about to move toward me. My cube was hollow, thin, and like a hologram, but not see-through. It had a metallic shimmer, but seemed ephemeral and had no solid substance. I could have put my hand right through it. About 20 ft x 20 ft, and golden yellow. The ladder was wooden, leaning up against the cube, and was just long enough that i could climb it and get on top of cube. The storm was medium sized, coming towards me, but still a ways off. It was going to bring rain. The flowers were bright hot pink-fucshia, and were cactus flowers.

When she asks how large the cube is, my mind instantly thinks in practical terms. Like, if this is a vast desolate desert, a tiny little toy cube wont be easily found, and thus is irrelevant, so my mind instantly made it about the size of a smallish shack/house. And when asked to describe what the cube looked like and such, it had a painted metal feel, like a car, but when she asked how close I was to it, my mind instantly backs away and sees it afar. Like a scene from a film where I'm approaching something over a horizon. To get out of the sun and maybe access water or help. And the flowers make sense next to the cube since they'd be lined on the side and planted by someone, whoever lived in the cube or built it. Flowers in a random spot in the desert are good as dead. I know I'm supposed to let go and 'free' the mind to see whatever, nomatter how silly or random, but its very hard.

but that's SO interesting!! Yes, I don't know much about the desert, so I just had "big yellow hot thing with sand" for that, and I was touching the sand and found the cube in there and put it in my pocket. The horse was next to the adobe building with the ladder on it, and the plant grew near the door of the building in the shade. It was one of those desert flowers with the hardy stems and delicate pink flowers. The storm was a sand storm on the horizon, coming fast, and I was wondering how to get the horse to safety. Is the building a barn or a house? Can I get the horse through the door? And so on. I also wondered if I could prop up a board to save the flowers, but decided that it wasn't a priority and I'd better get the horse to safety. It was all quite a realistic scene at the end of it.

I painted each side in different painting styles. Hollow . A sculpture of a flat Cowboy Sheriff Cat sits on top of the cube like a bale of hay of about 2 inches in each dimension. I live in the desert 🏜. The ladder is hand made and super old wood leaning on the opposite side of the house where the cube is. A spotted horse around the bend. It is our neighbors. Beautiful horse. Well the problem I had with this test was that I was asked to imagine a dessert and so I did... by definition it is a vast wilderness... Then imagine a cube, because I grew up when that word triggers a strong relationship with the "Rubik's Cube" so there was one those... The ladders, well I have them around my house, so just I imagined one that I already had. Flowers: was the Hibiscus because I just ordered the tea from Amazon, and it came from Egypt they had pretty pictures of them... Anyway, the images were just ready-made things in my day-to-day life... does this make it a valid test? I'm not sure, because now that I understand what the *interpretation* of the *interpretation* was intended to reveal... maybe it reveals more about the psychologist's world view and (his/her) assumptions about people's world view... as I think about that, suddenly I see a reflection of a reflection... How fascinating.

I had the same problem with the Rubik's cube and the desert ( and I don't feel anything about the colors of the cube of the plastic). @@queziacristiane, well... I can see where the logic was heading with this, but this test seems too directed and prompted with specifics. Instead of "imagine a desert" ask "imagine you are in nature, wherever you want to be... where are you?" Or instead of a horse, ask "Imagine an animal comes over to you, what animal did you imagine?" It might be harder to write a decoder for such an open-ended line of questions, but at least you're drawing from your own imagination and unprompted... The problem is now I can only imagine a Rubik's cube... I hope I'm not asked to do this again... LOL

That was so interesting, and a lot of fun. My cube was not quite a liquid but transparent and gel-like in consistency. Through it I could see the red and orange hues of the dessert. The horse was running towards me on a ledge, above my perspective and the plain which held the cube. The horse had a rope but no saddle, and stopped at the edge of the ledge, overlooking the plains. It didn't feel condescending, more like an invitation. The ladder was thin, wood, and leaned against the cube, right to the top. The cube was taller than me, probably stood 2-3 meters tall. I saw a giant windstorm in the distance, glowing orange and whipping dust around. An occasional thin lightning bolt descended through the cloud. It was far away but large and unmoving, and made me nervous. It seemed like the storm had two potential forms: that it would consume me with dust and I wouldn't be able to breathe, or that it would break and turn into rainfall. The flowers were small and growing through cracks in the plain. As I thought of them I forgot the anxiety about the storm and knelt down to examine how they grew so resiliently through the cracks. They had small white blossoms but I knew these were not fragile plants.

He's just chilling, black mane, very cartoonish, a little silly and looks kinda dumb. I wanna pet it" I imagined it right next to the cube facing it. Love it, describes my boyfriend perfectly (JK)

Cool. Transparent cube, proportional to beautiful desert, feels like home, with a few flowers 🌸 3-7, scattered. Wild mustang running free! Ladder, heavy duty, leaning against cube but not standing much higher. Storm, no problem, in the distance, no threat.

My cube was an irridescent purple yellow and made out of something ethereal or primordial like plasma and when I ran my fingers through it, it felt otherworldy. The whole damn place was like an acid dream. Still, I recently heard you say 'It's no measure of success to be a healthy individual in a profoundly sick society' and it has recently become my personal mantra. And this too shall pass :)

I’m so glad to see someone else had a very trippy cube experience! Mine was like some sorta blue-green (but also very iridescent/opaque) projected hologram that felt like it was giving off static electricity even from a distance! 🤣 What the heck does that mean?! Did I just find out I’m nothing more than a glitch in the matrix?! Oh no! 😳
@maebla
@maebla 2 жыл бұрын
@@bunnycat4153 well we are definitely birds of a feather in that sense! My scene was incredibly electric and static too. Considering its just a psychological tool no doubt it will not be successful for all. Don't think it's particularly wise to admit this on here but who's really going to care.... but I have a long history of mental illness that recently culminated in an late stage autism diagnosis. So I already know my brain is broken and maybe it's just that shining through :D

My cube was magically glowing with yellow, pink, and green swirls. Also, I've struggled with depression for several years, and I could feel my brain fighting between making the desert vivid and full of life, and making it a place you could explore for miles and not find much of interest. I could tell my outlook on life was influencing it, which is pretty interesting.

My cube was iridescent as well like an aura crystal. It is beautiful to look at. I can put my hands through it like liquid but just on the left side. It was clear in the front and solid glasslike, my ladder was leaning on it and you could easily climb up and climb in. Inside it was a safe place.

Couldn't resist sharing what I wrote down! So funny... the desert part is a bit dramatic. 😂 normally i'm quite optimistic. DESERT: vast, hot, dry, no plants, struggling to survive. CUBE: large icecube that never melts, it comforts, cools and hydrates, makes me happy. I'm hugging it and feel strongly bound to it. It's transparent when I rub away a thin outer layer of fog. LADDER: sturdy wood, beautiful but old, lays next to cube & is same height as cube. If I use it to climb on top, something magical will happen (transformation/enlightenment?) HORSE: dark brown, distant, galloping quickly towards me, without saddle or reins. It could be my way out of the desert. I feel I need to make a choice: climb on top of the cube or wait for the horse and ride out of the desert. STORM: far off in the distance, stationary, very dark & rumbling, thunder and lightning, scary, mysterious. Part of me is drawn to it, but I prefer to stay safe next to my cube. FLOWER: 1 small fragile white daisy, growing directly next to cube (getting water supply from it). I have a strong need to protect/nurture it. It represents a small glimmer of hope. It looks up to me, I'm it's hero/protector. It depends on/is attached to me in the same way I feel towards my cube.

My cube had bright light bars making up each of the sides, it was transparent. My ladder was made of wood and it was sturdy but it was going through my cube... Like inside it. It kept going up for maybe 15 rungs. My horse was brown and white with leather and metal bridle and saddle but not tied up looking at me blinking. My flowers were white and purple with little yellow spots by the stamen and pistol. My storm was black and threatening with lightning and thunder visible and audible off in the distance. My desert was barren with rocks off to one side and mountains in the distance, kind of a sepia color. Dried cracked ground with one stick tree off to my left. Its a lot to try to dissect because my mind put in soooo many details- lol

Notes: My dessert was pretty big, lonely and the bright orange sun was setting. My cube was pretty small, i could hold it in my hand. It was made out of a heavy metallic material and it had a dark blue gem on top, so I didn’t see any ladder. My horse was around 20 m away from me and it didn’t have a leash nor a saddle, it was also very calm. And I saw three white and purple flowers that were around 2 meters away from me. This was very interesting. Thank you, Teal Swan 💚💙

That was entertaining! My Desert was vast, sand, cliffs in the distance, mesas, hills. It burgeoned with insect life, lizards, and small things, but all unseen. There was scrub dotting the place. My cube was 30 feet high, and metal. A very interesting forged finish, pleasant to touch and intricate to the eye, cool or hot depending where the sun hit it. Ladder was an 8 foot aluminum jobbie, lying in the dust. Sturdy and light, but not really needed. Appropriate, as I am retired! My horse was a palamino, wind flowing in a wild mane as it ran around.my flowers were fields in bloom, desert wildflowers with black centers, purple, orange and rimmed with yellow.

My ladder was very tall and was sticking up towards the sky. It was very stable, and was about ten feet away from me and the cube. The horse was far away, but running in the same direction as my ladder. The horse only had a saddle. There was a huge storm. It was far away, but I could tell it was slowly coming my way. The storm had lots of wind and lightning and rain. All of the flowers were underneath it. There were not many, but there were not few. They were pink. I was very small compared to this world.
