I feel people completely are overlooking that the Bucks have terrible depth now and also will have a much worse defence. This trade is essentially the Phoenix Suns with KD last year but instead having Giannis who at least can play elite defense, if either of them sit the team will regress significantly and get wrecked by better depth.

Dame and Ginnis have the potential to be what Harden and Embiid were supposed to be in the playoffs. As long as the Bucks stay healthy, they're the best team in the East and should have a clear path to the finals.

Look I’m not even a Boston fan but “clear path” is a stretch, Boston is the only team outside of Miami that CONSISTENTLY outplays Giannis, & you can say “yeah but now he has Dame”…Boston has plenty of Guardplay/Wing attention to throw at Dame. I think Khris Middleton is going to do really well playing as the legit 3rd option. Suns gain more options for depth and potential rotation players with keon Johnson and nassir little. They are also getting a motivated nurkic who if he stays healthy will gladly accept his role as the rebounder/screen setter alongside their scoring talent.

As a Blazers fan, its sad to see Dame go after all these years but excited to see him on a contending team and to see the havoc him and Giannis are about to unleash. Im just concerned about the age of the Bucks team. How much are they moving around to adjust to Giannis? They are building the team around him. Which is awesome to see. They are so dedicated to building around Giannis that they just got one of the best players of the modern era. So now they have 2 stars to build around. Problem is, those 2 arent exactly young players. If things dont work out, this deal could send shockwaves through the team for years to come. On the plus side, their chances at rings just went up significantly. So if things go right, this could set the bucks up to be one of the best teams of the next decade or two. We might be witnessing the start of a Bucks dynasty.
