The decisions that this management makes will be judged with the amount of butts in seats and eyeballs on the tube. Time will tell. I don't see how fan's excitement will be raised this off season.

They aren’t in the winning business. They are in the making money business. If they go up to a top 3 payroll and the team doesn’t win… That’s why more bottom 10 payrolls than top 10. That’s why only 5 top 10 payrolls in 25 years. Never once top 6 When the Jays won 2 World Series under previous ownership, they had the largest payroll in the MLB both years

They tried to get Ohtani , and FAILED then went for Soto and FAILED AGAIN!. Now you have BO and Vlad in their Walk Years. This Blue jays Organization don't know what they are doing or what they even want . They are so confused , is painful to watch or being a jays fan in general

Please, give it some thought. The Jays have had 5 top 10 payrolls in 25 years. Never once top 5. With 10, 10 & 9th being 3 of them. You really thought those were legitimate offers to Ohtani or Soto. The Jays would have had to be a top 3 payroll for a decade to put a team around either. It was just a simple publicity stunt. Nothing more. This garbage we have money for "special circumstances" only. Well if you never get those guys who cares it's all just talk. Had they got Soto, they still would have needed at least $50 million more in payroll to make this team a contender. So that's a $100 million add to the payroll for next year. If the Jays got Burnes, Santander and Teo, with some bullpen. That's the same $100 million. They are a contender either way. But they just will never do it. Vladdy and Bo will be gone after 2025

I find it hilarious how people who talk about baseball for a living have no clue about what's going on. Blair claims the biggest issue was the offense. Wrong. The pitching completely collapsed last year. Worst staff in the AL.

Gimenez is a far better player than Horwitz and his ceiling.. I make this move every time. He can hit decent, play some of the best defense and steal bases --guaranteed 5 WAR.
