What the heck did I stick, on light tackle up in this creek

Sorry!, for the shitty filming was alone and hard to manage both. I was crappie fishing in a local creek when this big ass gar hit my light tackle. Really a lot of fun tho. I fished for them in texas using an 8-inch piece of 1/4 in nylon cord unraveled and combed out attached to a steel leader when they strike their teeth would get tangled in the nylon great fun didn't much like the taste😊🤡

Looks like a long nose Gar, not an alligator gar, still tastes the same. Contrary to what people say…delicious. Do you eat them?

I do, just the back straps and yes it was a longnose gar.
