You can watch how the Japanese feel about suicide here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqfdd4WGq9uHhZo It's unfortunate that in our mission to bring you the most authentic insight into Asia and inform the global youth, we regularly get demonetized by KZbin (including this very video) because our topics are sometimes seen as too "politically sensitive", while big KZbinrs doing silly and borderline illegal things go seemingly unchecked by KZbin. That being said, we have a much bigger picture in mind and won't stop making quality content for our Asian Boss community. As always, thanks for all your support - Steve

It wasn't til I watched his other videos when I figured yeah, he deserves all this shit. And to put the cherry on top, goes out of his way to accuse Shane Dawson of being a pedophile to get the attention off of him. He really is a piece of shit.

But bcoz of what he did, knowing the Japanese culture and bahavior, it angers me coz first, it's not his country. Second, his attitude is the opposite of what the japanese have. Third, disrespecting their food is as severe as disrespecting their entire country. He can do that in America since he is an American. But that place is Japan " a place where RESPECT is a virtue" . Let's give the fact that he really behaves the way he did in Japan but let's not also give a f*ck that just bcoz he behaves that way, we accept the rudeness. Moyashi Desu ... At least in Tokyo, a lot have either been to the US, had a friend/family work out study there, and it's not uncommon to see Americans there. Before I saw this video I responded to Americans that thought Japan would look down on us after Logan's video. I knew they'd never judge all 330 million of us based on one person's actions. They're too smart and too open minded to think that. Hopefully Logan will learn from this whole experience and become a better person. I don't think at heart he's a bad guy. I think the fame got too him and he thought now about his vlogs than other people. With his energy, his work ethic, and most importantly, the impact he has on so many kids, I hope that he uses this incident to be a better role model to his many impressionable fans.

I met a lot of US people, in science (students, senior scientists...), ex-US soldier wanting to join the french foreign legion, tourists... And that's sad to say, but under 30 years old most of them behave like they were 14 ! Fortunately they were smarter than Logan Paul and not like that all the time, but they were still dumb as shit. Nice but very often dumb. And I mean really dumb, sometimes it was really dangerous to work with them on the field, and very upsetting to see them stick to bad behaviors toward endangered species... It seems to be cultural, and that you need to be non americans to notice that. I don't think that we, french people, are smarter or something like that, we french are dumb too in many ways. I just say that this is how it looks from outside. They often were people from other country with me in such occasion and they noticed the very same problem. Young US people seems to have a kind of "let's having fun" mentality that can lead to disturbing situations. This is what happened there in Japan.

My problem with Logan Paul is that he did such things not only in Japan. I'm Italian and I love Japan so I was already pissed off when I heard about the video in Aokigahara, but then I saw that he also did similar things in Italy, in Venice. I'm studying in Venice so I heard about tourists who jumped into canals (not really clean honestly) and I'm 100% sure one of them was him. In his video he didn't listen when a man tried to tell him that was wrong and kept acting stupid and disrespectful. Venice already has many problems connected with the huge amount of tourists coming every year but it still is a beautiful city and I hate to see somebody as Logan Paul thinking he can do whatever he wants. So no, maybe shut down his channel will not solve the issue, but he deserves a punishment. He has 15 million followers, he makes money with their views so I think it would be a good solution. Unfortunately we can't do much more because the people who enjoyed that video will not understand anyway. We can only try to make noise and share better contents of channels that truly deserve it. So please, use KZbin and other platforms and the internet in general carefully and mindfully.
@agathe77087 жыл бұрын
I watched his videos about Italy after what happened in Japan and I was so pissed off. As a french, I went to Italy a few times and I really love this country and the people. When you are in a different country, you don’t own the place, you respect their laws, and customs, and the people. (Not saying that french tourists are the best though). He didn’t do any of that, discarded all respect for people around him. For me, his channel should be deleted. I don’t know what other punishment is possible for his actions except this... I mean, if there is any other punishment possible given by youtube...but I don’t think it will happen. What frightens me the most is his audience. Some of them follow him blindly, and take exemple of his behavior... they take his defense, don’t see that what he did both in Italy and Japan was disrespectful. you are right, the internet should be used carefully, and this is a example of why it should be used like this. (Sorry if I made any mistakes in English)

Yep well unlike here in America absolutely no one (some people you would barely find here and there) can’t be like that cause people are so ignorant, aggressive(in most few cases), stupid, unreasonable, memeified( if that makes sense), laughable, etc etc. Man I wish I live in Japan for at least a 1 or maybe more for the simple reason to express who I want to be as myself. Also for anime, places, people, maid cafes, traditionalism, so on so forth.

"wow im american and IM SO HAPPY the japanese realize that not ALL americans are like this!!!" okay so this video is just for americans and other westerners to feel good about themselves cus they're not like the total dipshit logan paul? "the japanese are SO KIND i wish everyone was like this!!!" what you're saying is that you just think they're polite bc they don't criticize you and if they were totally trashing americans bc of this they wouldn't be polite anymore? how about interview the japanese and asians who actually LIVE in america since they are the ones who actually know what it is like. unfortunately we're often not considered as "real" japanese/asians and we're often considered much more "extreme" and "aggressive", simply bc westerners would rather listen to people who have no experience of discrimination in west and therefore don't criticize their bullshit the same way lmao
@livganxie63666 жыл бұрын
mwrihi you didn‘t understand the meaning behind my comment. These days it‘s not of course that people don‘t criticize a whole nation/ religion etc. just bc one of them did something wrong. I thank these japanese people in the video for having that respect. I think they‘ve made this video in Japan bc this whole drama took place in Japan. Not especially bc of the people. I mean it wasn’t you who got the fish in the face was it? But I also don‘t think that western Japanese are more ‚extreme‘ lol. It doesn’t make a difference where you live, you‘re still a Japanese.

It's funny how when pewdiepie was falsely accused of being a Nazi, youtube immediately took actions against him without second thoughts, but when Logan Paul do something borderline inhuman and harmful to the views (that's why suicide is rarely broadcast anywhere, it makes the suicide rates rise) yet youtube does absolutely nothing, and even rewards him in a sense putting the said video on trending.
@Paragleiber7 жыл бұрын
I am glad that you also talked about the other videos that he did. A lot of the mainstream media only talked about the suicide video specifically and because of that I actually first thought that the guy was criticized too harshly, since the suicide video alone wouldn't warrant such a shitstorm in my opinion, at least since he apologized. But then I saw Yuta's video with all the other stuff that he did and now I totally agree that he is horrible. I just think that many people hate him for the wrong reason. People should hate him for being a rude and disrespectful asshole in general, not specifically for the suicide video. Even if he didn't do that one video he would still deserve strong criticism but I feel like he might not have gotten it in that case, which I think is wrong.
@AkasakaS20007 жыл бұрын
I agree. People made a big fuss out of the dead body video without seeing his other videos. I find them way more disgusting as it perpetuates the idea that Asia is a playground and Asians are moving toys. Furthermore, people say that he did not respect the "culture" as if the Japanese has some special magical rules that others are hard to follow. It's not, and we should point out that it has nothing to do with Japan or Japanese. LP is just a big racist.
@EricLeePiano7 жыл бұрын
i agree 100%, i thought the public reaction to the suicide forest video was a little too harsh, but then i saw his other vlogs. there should be more discussion on his japan vlogs than just the suicide forest video. it's obvious that he didn't care much about being respectful in Japan let alone a foreign country. just because he is a big youtuber doesn't mean he gets to do whatever he wants. it seems like he thinks asians are some sort of joke and that their culture is not to be taken seriously. dude has lowkey internal racism that he needs to sort out. if he wants to continue his youtube career he'll really need to change his attitude and have some sort of apology and really mean it.

The entire family probably has issues with their attitude and values. @neoepicurean37726 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your replies! It feels in the West that we have almost given single mothers hero status, almost like it's actually a good thing to be encouraged, but I feel that children seem more well adjusted and respectful when they grow up in a 2 parent house (I accept there are exceptions to this, but generally speaking). Of course, no disrespect to all the children of single parents out there! Or to the single parents, there are many circumstances that can result in this, way beyond control. There are economic factors also, and again 2 incomes are better than 1, in most cases. My main point is that there has been a push to remove 'shame' in society, and I think a little bit of shame can be useful in some cases.
@Vmonster6 жыл бұрын
It depends, either getting hate or getting support. If you send your child to conservative school, there will be a lot of mothers who do not support single mother. Just my experience. Some kids who had single father or mother got bullied.

Tommy boy Actually a lot of people may seem like they aren't bothered by Americans but in a lot of places people really don't like Americans. He's not lying most of the world doesn't like us, Trump is dumb and arrogant, we are stereotyped for being Dumb, Arrogant, Fat, Racist and a lot of other things, and most of them are pretty true. America really exists still because of our economy and the value we have for trade, and because of how much money is invested into millitary it would be a very difficult task to wipe America off earth. Regardless you're wrong, take a look around and research a little his opinion is pretty much spot on. -Your other American
@Creepytaco956 жыл бұрын
Yes I understand that there is some truth to every stereotype. However, judging every single individual from a certain group solely based on stereotypes is ignorant thinking and a logical fallacy. I understand that many parts of the world absolutely despise us (some for good reason, others based on stupid hasty generalizations) but I've been to Japan and if some people there didn't like Americans, they certainly didn't make it known to me because they're polite enough to keep things like that to themselves. Most people I met there had a positive view of Americans as a people. Whenever I travel abroad I try to be an ambassador to my country and show the rest of the world that not all Americans are fat, stupid, arrogant, racist etc, that in fact those who are a nothing more than a vocal minority, because where I group up and live today (California/Nevada) most people are not any of those things, only a few are.

As an American who lives in japan I hate seeing you tubers from my country come here and do these kind of things. We as foreigners living in Japan do our best to try to fit in, to learn the language, and to follow the laws and morals of our adopted country. When people come here and do these things I feel like it sets us all back so much. There is a trust that is broken. Of course I’m sure people know that because of this one person we are not all like that but I think there are some Japanese people who encountered Logan Paul while he was making his vlog who now have a negative impression or image of Americans...... it makes me sad.....
@ladystonebridge67846 жыл бұрын
I wish that when people come/visit Japan they would do a little research about the culture. Japanese culture is group based so the actions of one reflect on the entire group. It’s just the way people think here and when someone from the West comes over here and does rude/bad things it reflects on all of us. I’ve actually seen response videos from Japanese you tubers where they are saying that they now do not like foreigners/Americans. Although I do not agree with their views I can see how they have come to this point given how group based Japanese culture is. All in all as someone who has lived and worked in Japan for 12 years and is married to a Japanese national, to me japan is my home. It makes me so angry when I see people come here and disrespect my home. It’s frustrating to have to answer for these kinds of people when some of us work very hard to fit in.

Makayla Johnson this kind of stuff isn't surprising, actually. This goes to show how Logan Paul did a super bad thing and angered people with his childish behavior. He never got the punishment of getting his KZbin getting taken down because KZbin isn't doing anything about it like, what the hell is that? KZbin still "protects" Logan, despite his act of putting a video on KZbin about them encountering a dead body, even though it's a huge issue to people with morals. All in all, this is punishment, getting tons of hate from people nonstop and it's not even enough. Do you think that what the people said is no better than Logan Paul's act of indecency?! That's bullshit dude. If that's not what you meant, you should still know that what the people said is an act of despising Logan Paul for what he did and that's his fault for doing that. I hope you understand that what these people are doing is a very convincing punishment for Logan. If you still think that what these people are saying is "bitter tasting", then you don't have what they have, and it's called "Anger". Also...... Sorry I just had to put it out there *takes out my tongue and winks*

Jennifer Kim when you give an interview it's always a bit hard to say what you really think. And the one woman smiling is probably thinking of her appearance, I would too. And also in asian culture you normally don't talk about topics lice suicide, so it's hard probably more difficult for them.. At least I think it's that. 😅

Kristy Shayla and I love Japanese Korean Thailand Etc people and their cultures their food their TV shows their movies I respect them all of them I tend to respect the whole world but just some people in the world might not be good not saying that Logan is a horrible person he probably did not mean to I do not care about the outcome of your comment I am not his fan I will never be his fan I'm too busy digging my nose in Korean people's business to be worried about Japanese Thailand Etc so you can't say I'm saying except him !😣😢 people make mistakes blah blah blah no if you got up there got on the internet on the biggest thing to hit the world and you were Logan Paul's fan and you were just a kid you wanted your person to be respected again you thought if I know it was wrong but he's just a human being let him be he's already had his penalty but then just to go around on the internet and see all of these horrible people no scratch that so-called human-beings describing another human-being. hey I get it if he was some type of mass murderer yeah he's a disgusting person but he's not he was a person at the wrong place at the wrong time I'm pretty sure he didn't go in the woods find a person who was not breathing just to take a video of it and if he's desperate which I really don't think he is then he is a disgusting human being but hey you never know you cannot determine happened behind the camera
@kristyshayla29526 жыл бұрын
Makayla Johnson woahhh, I never said ‘every’ underage person, it clearly states ‘most’ and there is no denying, statistics have shown it’s mainly 10-13 years or even under. Never said each and every child is too young to realise he’s made a mistake. However your assumption that I’m underage, well you’re wrong I’m 17. It’s good that you respect asian culture, nothing wrong with it. As a asian myself, we are forgivable but under tight KZbin rules he still disobeyed them. When going to another country I know you’d want to have fun, he disrespected the community as you may tell, wanting to be funny but smashing toys, shouting and disturbing people (Japan is peaceful and respectable country)there’s no need to disturb others just to provide good content for his viewers. Right we can go pass that. But he not only went across the line for entering the forest (which was not a permitted area) and for him to go to a different country of course he’s done his research so he should be aware. Then he decides to film the dead body, made fun of it, then still thought it was ok to upload this video. That is what makes it bad, his intentions might of been different, but as a KZbin he should know the drawbacks and side effects too. As you may tell in the video; the Japanese citizens believe he’s wrong and that he deserves to be punished, but if we let him go others may think it’s alright to upload content like that. Yes he made an apology video which we can forgive but we can never forget. A 2 minute video of how he knows he wrong. Are we having a laugh here? 2 minutes? He violated Japan and other parts of Asia, not everyone has KZbin or even a device so not everyone’s aware. Instead begin to actually help suicide, take a step back from KZbin. Do something actually worth it, we know he probably does charity but it’s the Present day that he’s made a major mistake. In no way am I saying he deserves a harsh punishment, he should take this lesson to learn. I want this video to be seen because it shows the aspects of Japan’s own people since their opinions matter because that’s their home and culture. I understand you, I hope you have a good day and there’s no need for us go back and forth over someone we don’t even know behind the screen.
@bequiet76226 жыл бұрын
Kristy Shayla I respect you. you are right I hope you have a good night or day I don't really know where you live what time zone you're in but I hope you have a good night sorry for the commotion and bickering back and forth I just realize how much of a jerk I am scrolling through all of the comments just to Shane the people who are mean and disrespectful when I am no better

Especially considering when one goes into the forest to commit suicide, they don’t tell a single soul, so this persons family probably has no idea where he was, assumed missing, hell maybe they assumed he lost his phone or something, and they find out this way? Through a disrespectful, exploitative sociopathic American pig youtuber? For those defending him, imagine it’s your son/brother/husband/father etc in that tree, people poked and laughed at by a group of tourists, you wouldn’t be defending them, you’d be coming for blood

I love that everyone interviewed doesn't feel that all Americans are like this , i am deeply aggravated to see that Logan Paul did these things thinking it was ok . Anyone would know not to do the things he did for it should complete disrespect in all manners towards the Japanese culture and just people in general. He is disrespectful and immature for his age, i am a 20 year old women and even if i was 10 years old i would know that this is wrong. I apologize on his part for his disrecspectful and immature behavior.
